Went to SCION.COM site to see if anything was posted in news...nothing there as of 9:35am EST. They did have January sales posted for all of Toyota though. Scion USA (I assume) sold a whooping 5,099 cars last month of which 10% (507) were FR-Ss.

They were supposedly up overall from previous year but the FR-S was off by 24%.

You have how many years in the automotive manufacturing business.
The Saturn and Pontiac sales were fine. It was business decisions that took them out. The 86 is a planned low volume car with a planned life span for the model. The people at Toyota are not stupid and know what the market will bare and build to that. If there are storage yards someplace full of built but not sold cars please provide me with some evidence.

I didn't read this whole thread, so I apologize if this is a repost. Here's a press release from Scion via Business Wire that quotes Jim Lentz:

Scion Brand to Transition to Toyota

I found this by way of Yahoo Finance. Looks like it might be legit.

ETA: GAH! Beaten to it by an obscene gesture.

Yep, its on the Scion site as well

http://pressroom.scion.com/releases/

"As part of the brand transition, beginning in August 2016, MY17 Scion vehicles will be rebadged as Toyotas. The FR-S sports car, iA sedan and iM 5-door hatchback will become part of the Toyota family. The tC sports coupe will have a final release series edition and end production in August 2016. The C-HR, which recently debuted at the L.A. Auto Show, will be a part of the Toyota line-up."

Now that this has been officially confirmed/announced by Toyota, let's start with the official announcement, free of speculation and overreactions
