Read my post again, I never said you had to want validation to do a thing, but when that is the primary motivator for the thing and it's easy to deduce, it's weak.


There is no evidence to support your theory and more than zero to support mine. There is a girl in my gym more tatted than this girl and her tats are hideous, badly done and ad hoc, no flow, but her attitude makes them ok with me. She comes into the gym in sweat pants and a wifebeater and while she's not pushing massive weight her intensity says that's because she's got her build right where she wants it. You can tell she's there to work and don't interrupt her set trying to creep on her, I think she might punch you. Big difference.


I bought my car because it did exactly what I wanted and it was aesthetically pleasing to me. I do get a ton of compliments on it, but I don't solicit them, I didn't buy the car to get them and I really don't like it. I also don't rev at every other car, hoon about in my neighborhood and generally act like an attention whoring prick. There IS something wrong with being a showoff. it lays your soul bare to everyone and shows how broken and incomplete you are inside and yes, please, put a shirt on.

Hooning and reving was never mentioned. You seem to think that standing out visually must mean you're calling from the rooftops: HEY EVERYONE! LOOK HOW AMAZING I AM! If you don't want to show off, then don't. If you don't want compliments, cover up everything you might be complimented on. You choose the car because you like the way it looks. I chose to work towards a 6pack I can bear without a shirt because that's how "I" want to look. Not because that's how I think you, or the neighbor, or whoever wants me to look. Does that make me pathetic? Because I want something better than what I have? Or because I don't mind other people seeing my hard work?

Standing out visually is not the crux of the matter. It's the motivation for standing out that matters. As long as you did it for you and the compliments are just icing on the cake, no hate. Your six pack is the equivalent of my car. Actually, I think a solid set of abdominals probably has more power than our cars.

Let's take that back to the original argument... we don't know this woman's motives or intentions. We don't know that she doesn't do what she does because it's what she wants

No there isn't. There is zero evidence to support your doubt. If she was dressed modestly you would have that 2%. She wasn't, though. She presented herself the way she did. The 2% is awarded to me.

Why does she have to dress modestly? I think we already went over a comparable situation replacing her with me where I would do the same thing but we knew my motives. We don't know hers or why the video exists. Maybe she goes to the gym in a wife beater and sweats but she "dressed up"for this video. We simply don't know
