We got ours in yesterday!

On Thursday we got the call we've been waiting for, that our 2022 BRZ was ready for pickup the next day at noon. We picked it up, with no dealer markup, and drove it to our shop to begin researching and measuring. We haven't had the chance to get on it yet as it is still being broken in, but as soon as we cross the 1000 mile mark and change the oil we're going to have it on our dyno for initial testing. It definitely feels more responsive at part throttle and there are a ton of other improvements from the previous generation. So far, the only thing we aren't happy with is the turn signal stalk (it's very odd) and the gas cap. Its very easy to just pop it open by barely touching it.

Overall, we are excited for the new platform and can't wait to start pushing out new parts and developing the next CARB compliant turbo kit for these cars!

I got to see a blue and a white BRZ last Tuesday at a local dealer. I got a call to hurry over as they were to be delivered the same day. As when I got my 2017 BRZ in white, I would like to see it in red in person as well before making a decision. Since I have a ride, I can wait a little before ordering. I have a 2019 Ascent and it's engine is same-same, but different. The 2.4L in the BRZ already starts out with a higher compression ratio, so what limitations are there for overall boost? Any estimate on where the power and torque will be?

Mandatory "turn signal stalk" plug: https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=147442

Minor nitpicking: This thread is clearly about a BRZ but it's in the GR86-specific subforum.
Consider contacting the mods to move the thread to the right subforum.

I recognize that maybe it doesn't make the best business sense, so if you all choose to ignore the request I understand but... would you mind letting us know if some basic bolt-ons are able to carry over from old to new?

Stuff like cat-backs and suspension components for starters?

I'm seriously considering selling my FR-S early b/c used prices are nuts right now, and I want to know if it's worth putting it back to stock for a) a better sale price and b) to save some parts for the new car.

Certainly saw some people bolted on previous exhaust and it fit.
