you should be paying the maximum of $33,843.21 for white manual GT in vic.

the fine print says:

** Recommended Retail Price (RRP) excludes dealer delivery, statutory charges and metallic paint. Drive away price shown includes 12 months registration, 12 months compulsory third party insurance (CTP), a maximum dealer delivery charge, stamp duty and metallic paint (where applicable). Vehicle weight is calculated using the TARE weight. The drive away price shown is based on a vehicle being garaged in the postcode entered, and on the owner being a 'rating one' driver aged 40 with a good driving record. Please note that your actual drive away price may differ depending on your individual circumstances (including, in NSW and QLD, your choice of insurer). Accordingly, please talk to your local Toyota Dealer to confirm the price that is specific to you. Statutory charges are current as at 20/06/2012.

if they charge you more for delivery charge, tell them to look at the website and reconsider. if they won't, call TMCA.

I'll have a speak to my dealer on saturday morning when i go for the test drive. I read the fine print and yes looks like i have backup. Now im just wondering if his going to play hard ball and say take it or leave it which means i'll have to get the car elsewhere and wait EVEN LONGER... SIGH..

if they play hard ball then i'd politely ask them the phone number of TMCA customer service and will call them immediately at the dealer in front of the sales.

my dealer backed down immediately after i politely asked them to refer to the link on TMCA website and they had no choice but to "honor" the price on the website. I was prepared to take the case up the food train if i had to and so should you.

I had another dealer call me after i had just signed on the line with a better offer....he was going to throw in more of the options free and take a few more hundred off.....bit bummed that i missed that deal but i am happy enough with what i was able to get the dealer to agree to.

Called a few of the bigger dealers in SEQ and they couldn't/wouldn't compete because of 'demand'. Maybe the country/regional dealers are a good option.

If he doesnt do the right thing please report him to TMCA.... And make sure to tell him ur reporting him then show him the finger.....

For those who are interested. I managed to get my drive away price the same as the TMCA website. Though it took a while for it to be honoured. The sales manager had to talk to the dealership boss/CEO. 15 mins later they came back with the TMCA price. I tried to explain the fine print on the website but it fell on deaf ears. But I'm happy I managed to get the proper advertised price.

That is what i was quoted today, no tint no nothing, although i do get the smaller black on white "custom" plates, I just giggled like a school girl and went about my merry way.
