Mm... a bit random/stupid but... what in the world do rear fog lights do? Maybe I just don't ever pay attention to new cars, but.. when you look behind, you can see better? or what?

Actually I don't know if they are even legal in CA or the US in general (I moved to the US a few years ago). They are somewhat popular in Europe, but since I've been in California I've only seen them on 1 mini cooper which was imported (foreign licence plates).

EDIT: CA regulation:

A vehicle may be equipped with not more than two red fog tail lamps mounted on the rear which may be lighted, in addition to the required tail lamps, only when atmospheric conditions, such as fog, rain, snow, smoke, or dust, reduce the daytime or nighttime visibility of other vehicles to less than 500 feet.

When two lamps are installed, one shall be mounted at the left side and one at the right side at the same level and as close as practical to the sides. When one lamp is installed, it shall be mounted as close as practical to the left side or on the center of the vehicle

The lamps shall be mounted not lower than 12 inches nor higher than 60 inches

The edge of the lens of the lamp shall be no closer than four inches from the edge of the
lens of any stop lamp.

A non-flashing amber pilot light that is lighted when the lamps are turned on shall be mounted in a location readily visible to the driver.

Nope i don't like it, maybe its the angle of the page/pic but im really not digging this at all.

Its looking all too fat, round and bubbly. Especially that very first red pic, that front end is disgusting. I actually don't mind the ass end.

Absolutely nothing like the concepts thou.

Ill wait till i see it in person i think.

Was it Moto who said it looked like a mini Maserati when he saw the pictures of it.

Thanks for update guys! So much info in such a short period of time!!

I wonder why they didn't include the STI/GTS type kit that we've been seeing?!

Speaking of which, all this news is a trending topic on FB. People from other car clubs/circles who aren't members of this forum are posting articles to FB and we comment each other's posts and whatnot but...

Anyone here want to add me on FB to keep our interest alive as we wait over these next few months? Create a presence of the FT86 community on social media before the car is even out!

Thanks Hideo and Ichitaka05 for the images and translation.

Though it's difficult to judge the proportions because of the angle, it looks better than the version with all the Modellista bling. I eagerly await the official specifications (especially weight).

made me puke too. I dont know for some reason I started to see a 350z and that would defeat purpose. I could just buy one of those. Redundancy. Way dif from concepts. fail!

This is what I want!

Now what I see...

It now looks like an overglorified Celica. No thanks I'll just keep my K24a2 RSX now

I for one am glad it didn't turn out like a over-riced monstrosity like the FR-S and the two concepts after the original. This car is the spiritual successor to a RWD Corolla. It's not supposed to overtly stand out.

People care too much about how cars look. It's how they drive that's most important and besides you can't see what your car looks like when you're sitting in it.

I myself don't really care for the looks of my STi, it's not a very attractive car. But when I get behind the wheel and mash the loud pedal I forget those trivial matters.
