$16.47 for the boot from here: http://www.villagescionparts.com/pro...U00300881.html

But shipping is ~$12.

Late Edit: It's worth mentioning that this shifter comes with both the pivot bushings and rear stay bushing, which TWM wanted ~$70 for. Their shifter, at the current listed price on the website, is $270 plus another $70 for those bushings. $340 for a shifter? Eh, nty.

If i purchase the Kartboy Short Shifter should i purchase the

as well?

Obviously plan on purchasing transmission fluids as well? Can you recommend the best brand for that? Along with this install i feel the gearbox should be seeming-less!

Kartboy has the same bushing $10 cheaper...so $25.

I'm still on stock fluid, I have yet to hear of a fluid solution that fixes *everything*. If and when one does, it will probably be a cocktail.

Just get the kartboy one, and install it when installing the shifter

Thumbs down

So, what to say? It's great, I install yday and short shifter is very impressive as sensation and gear commands. I hear some rattle (horizontal) on higher rpm on 3rd/4th (from 3.000 to 7.000 rpm).
I will try to solve inserting something inside or I'll dismantle and change it for a STI genuine Short Shifter (I choose this one to save something about duties but I paid the same as for Japan)...It's very noising to drive with this rattle....(never heard before)

Rating:
Install AAA
Gear Commands AAA++
Noise/Rattle CCC+ after my ultimate workout http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...98#post1128098 , rating reach AAA
price/benefits ratio A

I think that the trouble is inner diameter of PFTE or similar (too wide and too play) or internal spring that pushes the rod and there isn't a spring seat where to stop itself.

...but I must advice that "rattles" aren't rare, if you google:

Hah, yeah, a second one would have gotten me through the entire install. Maybe I went too slowly and it's only supposed to take one fireball.

If you order direct. We have an option for more fireballs.
