OFT Stg 2 E85 MAF question

I got curious and compared the OTS Stg 1 to the Stg 2 E85 ROM and saw that the Stg 2 E85 MAF scale is richer from 3.2V up. Why would OL enrichment be handled in the MAF here rather than in the POL table?

usually aftermarket headers cause afr to go leaner compared to a stock header

In principal the maf scales should be same regardless of e85 petrol or type of header. As the maf is just measuring air flow into engine. Maf should only change if intake changes

I suspect the oft guys may artificially add to the open loop part of scale in some tunes to ensure they always run on the rich side, this is safer than lean as its a one tune for all

If your runnig richer than commanded afr then coreect that with maf scale

Thanks for the responses guys. It's just puzzling; the OTS Stg 2 and Stg 2+ petrol tunes don't have this MAF enrichment. I thought with E85 you can go a little leaner due to the higher octane rating.

Fueling increase is not done by maf its done in inkectpr scaling and di pressure target tables
