Wheel Directory: Axis Xplode 18x8.0 +45
Axis Xplode 18x8 +45 Cooper Zeon RS3-A 225/40R18 Wheel Weight: Tire rack says 20 lb. but I haven't weighed them myself. Tire Weight: I believe they are between 23-24 lb. Heavy, to say the least, but sticky! I love 'em so far. No poke on these wheels, but the wheel well is far better filled in. Driving impressions: The sticker, thicker tires are certainly less squirrelly than the stockers, and the gears feel a bit taller due to the larger overall diameter. Very calm driving through sweepers, though I've not had the chance to push the tires to the limit (they've only been on for 5 hours). Will update with more impressions in the coming days. @DarrenDriven

I just bought these wheels in black and blue. now deciding on tires. What made you go with 225/40? Tire Rack recommended 235/35. Just curious, will post mine when everything's together!

I got myself a 17" set of these with Cooper Zeon RS3-S tires. They're fantastic and I loved them to death. I used them on the track a few times and the plastic centering ring became deformed on the front wheels. The folks at Axis sent me some aluminum replacements, which I'll be putting on soon now that winter is finally over. You can read all about the tires and the wheels right here: TGIF[R-S]: New Tires, Faster Car |
