He made a comment which I totally agree, they should’ve used the V8 on the CT4-V (490hp NA would be the best thing to buy. Thanks a lot Cadillac for not doing that and saving my bank account and retirement plan.

agree the 5 is just to big but the TT V6 and MT is still not a bad swan song

That would have been a great pairing....

..and I think the 4 is too small so I don't know that I would have bought it with the v8 NA.

At this point, if I was going this way I'd either have to go with a GEN3 CTS-V, which is stupid expensive right now, or the standard CT5-V with the twin turbo 6 cylinder. I just can't justify the price of the Blackwing even though I think it's worth every penny.

That car is a real testament to the complexities of high performance internal combustion

I mean, we're talking about 6 inches (in length) and 200 lb weight difference. That's enough to talk you out of a car with that crazy drivetrain?

That length, at least to me, is also what makes the back seats usable, which is why I say the 4 is too small.

With that crazy drivetrain, comes a crazy expensive bill, that’s out of my bounds.
A CT4 with an optimized 6.2L V8 would be probably lighter than the TT V6, less costly and easier to get to a HPDE without much worries.
Also, long term longevity is another portion, as ATS-V is known for some issues.

In summary, I like the idea of a blackwing and makes sense making something special on those, but it does no align with what I want from a car.

Ah yes i misread that a little. I, too, have no idea why the CT4 Blackwing doesn't just have an NA V8.

Yep. If they did that I'd buy one period. I honestly love the SS1LE but physically cannot bring myself to buy one because I literally could not see out of it. So yeah, a nicer SS1LE that you can see out of? Count me in.
