The Hellephant and the eCOPO
A couple of interesting articles floating around today about the crate hellcat engine and the prototype eCOPO Camaro that may be developed into a crate engine.
The Camaro engine is interesting because its designed as a drop-in replacement for a gas engine, and is a 800-volt system rather than the 400-volt system used by Tesla and others. No mention of whether or not whether the batteries would be included in the box. (I can just see the big "batteries not included" stamped on the side of the crate now).

Read about the new 427 Hellephant 1000hp crate engine this morning. They estimate it's MSRP north of $25,000. (probably more like $30K+)
427cubic inch displacement. It has 1000hp , 950tq , and almost a square stroke. Sounds good to me!

Yea, given the Hellcrate is $19,995 that would make sense pricewise. Now just need to find a $1,000 body to put it in.

Project cars in your "area"... Here is a rust bucket (too expensive) and an ugly duckling.
