I hope mods reconsider the "ban" decession. There are many FT86 owners using his tunes and benefiting from all the discussion happening here.

John is an experienced Ecutek tuner who helped our society a lot and we need to give him credit for that. I understand that he broke some rules, but we also need this thread to stay alive

To be Fair he also wasn't the first tuner to break the rules talking about other tuners. All tho those guys only had a slap on the wrist.

I say un-ban John!

Best bet is to use his customer zendesk portal. None of the visconti user discussion threads on here have ever really provided valuable discussion. They almost always end up turning into a roast.

I knocked my final head with the idiot when he sent my cable to my old address when I told him I had moved and gave him the new address prior to him shipping it. I made a ticket with the new address and he said a ticket isn't necessary to have a cable replaced over Facebook chat.

I even shipped the impaired cable with the correct return label on the box. What does he do after a week of having my cable with me asking just for 1 update on what's going on? Said it was shipped because apparently I was riding his A** and ended up being shipped to my old address and long story short it was all my fault because I didn't tell him on Facebook where I currently lived. Ticket is not necessary apparently my a**. So now it's all off him and not his problem anymore.

F*** me right?

Talk about customer service. I appreciate you sending a new cable no questions asked because of my old one had a short in it but.. Come On. Pay attention to details.

I sent an email to Ecutek describing what all happened and the response I got was Priceless. I quote " Wow, that's crap customer service". They wanted to help me but I already have a new vendor I'm going with.

This guy is very unprofessional.

Ive done business with the 2 most famous names ( tuning wise ) here and let me tell you both are CRAP they don't understand anything about running a proper business and all that they see is the money.
They wont last and are going down the drain very very fast.

It's frustrating to see that folks are still having problems. I understand. Just now, it took John about 12 days or so to get me my ECUtek license back since I had unmarried ECUtek from my ECU for warranty work. He did get the issue taken care of, but it took longer than I expected. Probably a Holiday-related delay. His most recent tune is on the car and the verdict is still out...throttle mapping is not great but it's too early to tell, we'll see how it goes. His AVO turbo tune (cost me several hundred) was not stable, but the kit hasn't been reinstalled yet, so maybe he can fix that one and make it workable.

I was one of John's first customers on this forum and sometimes I think the guy means well, and sometimes I think he is only out to make a buck. I do think John makes an effort to resolve issues, it just seems like it takes a lot of follow-up by the customer. My prior experiences have been documented in other posts, but needless to say, I have both "Big guy" tunes and sincerely regret not waiting for the OFT which appears to be the best tuning solution on the market. If only Shiv would give discounts for ECUtek refugees like myself.

Hopefully John will come back and straighten things out. Maybe that's just me being naive. He does owe me an E-85 tune if my logs check out, so I hope he's allowed back.

If you're a satisfied customer of his, just use his customer portal site. He doesn't need this forum to continue to do business and service his customers.

I think it's more along the lines of, this forum doesn't need him burning up our cars. Good riddance. Guy is a total ****bag.
