Poll: Xbox One or PS4 Revote

Xbox One only because it will have Forza 5 and subsequent releases. However, I think the PS4 will be the better console, since it won't have all that DRM bullshit. What the fuck is with Microsoft? Anyhow, the upcoming Metal Gear Solid and Gran Turismo games are going to be badass, so I'll just wait until they come out.

Played Killzone for an hour and a half or so. Didn't get very far. I put it on medium, and now I remember why I use mouse+keyboard for shooters haha. I'm terrible.

Doesn't the PS4 do something like lets you play right away, and installs the rest of the game in the background while you play? Could've caused those hiccups.


I'm still personally trying to figure out why I don't really care about the new gens... Probably because I've been tired of Assassin's Creed and COD remakes for some time now. A next-gen Fallout or Elder Scrolls would probably have to do it for me.

I'm curious what DRM attributes X1 has that PS4 doesn't?

Also I lost every bit of faith in the Gran Turismo franchise after the woefully bad 5.

Possible. I've noticed it a few times here and there since my last post but nothing bad. Honestly NFS is the sleeper hit for launch for me. I expected it to be a lot more like Criterion's first take, but they tightened up the handling a bit and it just feels better.

Our PS4 rocked (literally and figuratively) pretty much all weekend without hiccups, including an 12 hour power session with 8 of my son's friends on Saturday.

So far looks pretty much as advertised.

The GameStop where I picked up my son's pre-order said they still had a dozen or more non-preorder on hand, and more coming in, and this was after 6PM ET today after they had what they called a 'very busy' day.

Order patiently waiting for its owner to come home and open it.

I wish that was the same case for us California folks. Every single store I walked into after work were sold out and some of the 24 hour Walmarts that I called before heading to work at 6 am sold out.

Would you mind inquiring with GameStop if they still have any available?

Looks like they made a liar out of me. They said they sold out first thing Saturday morning and don't have any right now, and don't know when they will get more in.

Apparently a lot of folks thought they wouldn't be selling until after the preorders went out on D1, and they had a line waiting Saturday AM.

I was afraid that would be the case. Oh well, that teaches me for not having pre-ordered or going out at midnight Friday. The Best Buy 3 miles from my house had 3xx pre-orders and another 3xx for walk-ins. I was a little too late going in next day lol.

Keep in mind that Best Buy is holding preorders until the 23rd. Best to call them up a day before that and see if they have anyone that didn't pick theirs up and go snag it!

Less than a week to go for the Xbox One! I still haven't seen a damn demo unit in a store either. I just want to try Forza 5 lol.

In the meantime, NFS is still ridiculously fun.

I currently have the PS3 and I hate the fucking thing..
Every time I turn it on there is an update and u have to wait. I hate console games.. Real gamers use a PC... Lol..
But I have to admit.. Sony used a great graphics engine and the hardware was ahead of its time when it came out.. Hopefully the ps4 will improve on the wait time and BS with their network crap..

Loving my PS4 so far. Quiet, fast, and Assassin's Creed IV is really awesome.

If you haven't seen the article yet, see if you can find where EA is trying to blame Sony for their issues in BF4 with instability. Yet my PC crashes for the past 2 weeks playing BF4 with issues.... Worst company ever.

I haven't even tried BF4 yet because of all the issues I've heard of. That and I have a couple of others to play, so no rush. But yeah, the PC version is plagued with issues too. BS for EA to call foul on Sony. I have had no problems with PSN really at all, though they had some intermittent outages to for maintenance or whatever right after launch.
