Did a very wet trackday today and whilst the car was invincible on the corners, it was a little outgunned on the straights.

I need 250 bhp or 20% up from stock

I know that sometimes it is hard to read through 300+ posts, but check out post #201

so if I want a turbo down the road, will there be a flash update I could use? I live in Hawaii and is well maybe one tuner out here. so I would need n easy plug n play. I'm awesome mechanically. I suck with software. also I have a cat back and a intake pully setup, will the stage 1 tune be okay. and I'm sorry if this has already been answered.

Yes I'll be offering different flashes for different turbo kits. You'll need a different or new tune from me.

The only problem I have with this is if the ECU is tuned/flashed in the NE US, and then someone in the SW/Pacific area goes to use it, the weather and altitude and several other variables are so different -- it would behoove the end user to have it tuned/flashed in the same environment in which it will be driven.

This is where you utilize the data logging function and have John update your tune as necessary. I doubt the base file is so aggressive that it would not work in all locations.

Just like Cobb, EcuTek locks the ECU when the car is programmed.

The big difference between the two is Cobb has a handheld programer to allow the owner to remove from the car (unmarry).

EcuTek has always had a cable available for sale to serve the same purpose as Cobbs hand held - it was however very expensive so no one every bought it.

This is where EcuTek's pricing change has come in.

There's a new cable, new price - dealers like myself will be selling staged packages to go with the cable.

For those of you that want to do self tuning - they will have that as well.

Pro Tuning support for BRZ will come first, then user tuning.

do you mind explaining more in depth what this Ecutek system is for us who don't know anything about it?
What is that laptop looking unit?
I'm confused about this cable business?
