Theres a lot of different programs you can do to gain weight. But as they all say, calories out and calories in. If your body's natural daily calorie burn is a average 1800 than it's all simple math. Eat and additional calories + calories lost during your workout. More calories in means more fuel for the body to grow. Since about 3500 calories = 1 pound, do the math on how much you want to gain per week. But take note not 100% of that weight you gain will be lean mass. And this is when your cutting season comes in, to cut that useless fat and look more defined.
@SoCal909 View Post Invest in protein powder, my personal favorite is Dymatize Elite Whey. Easy ass gainer shake - 50g protein powder 80g oats 1tbsp Macadamia Nut Oil (or any fat you prefer, peanut/almond butter etc) 1-2 cups milk (maybe a banana or 2?) Although this is a awesome weight gainer shake it may not sit well with a lot of beginners. I would say to work up to this recipe. There is no rule that says you have to drink whey on it's own. I personally use either vitaminshopp's wheytech (contrate/isolate) or target brand whey. Right now i don't put all this extra stuff in my shakes because i don't plan on gaining weight or need a meal replacement. @SoCal909's shake is a good, i gotta get a meal in but i don't feel like eating/cooking. Question to you my good sir is, what purpose do you want to gain weight for? Physic? Sports? Work? It's different for all of them. For that summer body look you have to give yourself some deadlines. Lets say you want to look nice and good in july - august. I would start a nice clean bulk right now until mid May. Don't gain too much weight, but put good effort in the gym and eat good foods. Make sure a good amount of weight you gain for the next 4-5 months is lean mass. Than take the last 2 months and go on a strict diet with high protein. (higher protein than you bulk to reduce muscle loss during a cut.) Meals = 70% supplements= 10% gym =20% |

If you're eating out it's not clean bulking. Not sound like an ass but i did eat at chipotle for awhile but didn't consider it a clean bulk. Don't forget, their brown rice is made with bacon. Chipotle is more like the iifym kind of diet.
