TRD and 5-axis 'spoilers' still look much better!

I like the '13-'16 spoiler on the BRZ (This is the GT86 spoiler, right?)

MY '13 FR-S has the stock spoiler, which is also available on the new 86, and I really do not like it. Granted, if you view the car from above, it totally matches the lines that start from the front bumper, over the arches, and across the roof. But it makes the read end look bulky as a result of how the "wings" extend over the read haunches and the fact that it rests on the decklid. I would replace it, but they cut a ton of holes in the trunk to mount it.

*Note my photo

As for the new spoiler, I like that it doesn't rest on the decklid. Also, I think it looks more functional, where my spoiler looks like it was added because the marketers said it would be sporty, and 20-somethings like sporty. Although, it is supposed to slightly reduce drag.

Though I agree the new spoiler looks like an aftermarket piece, but at least they put in the effort to reinforce the deck lid and made it out of aluminum. I feel like they actually put effort into making it more than just an appearance piece, or some after thought.

The 5 Axis stuff and similar spoilers are my favorite.

Edit: Not rice, but maybe not nice on the 86 body. It seems like a good piece of hardware, just applied to the wrong vehicle. I've come to find that the 86 looks best without any spoilers - also, unless you are doing track days, it probably is useless.

I agree with the OP. Pre-facelift for me. I think the car looks taller and "boxier" from back with the new spoiler, the old one gives the car more aggresive yet subtle look. Especially the old one is great with the STI gurney flap.

I don't know, gang. I'm finding myself very happy not to have any spoiler or wing at all- it was my preference this way.
