No issues here. Using root and the firmware
Without the car home front page.

Yes, there's an iPod app I believe or use Bluetooth.

My head unit has developed a black line that runs vertically down 75% of the screen. Noticed it after getting in the car yesterday. Could have sworn it went away for a bit and then came back while driving too

So how do u guys connect to Internet with the cafi? Leave your phone on wifi hotspot? The USB port right now in the stock setup doesn't charge the phone fast enough. Barely keeps it alive I imagine it would die if I attempt the leave it in hotspot the whole time

I plug one of these in to the console power outlet, powerful enough to charge my N5 at AC charging rates. I assume the navigation has to be run through the hotspot on your phone then? There's no built in navi?

Depends, you can get an app that has downloadable maps.

If you have ur unit rooted, you can download Tomtom, or just use either Sygic or Waze (both offline maps)
Notice that Tomtom is a little slow in booting up compared to the other two but works fine as it is

I really like Waze and would prefer to use it, so if it works offline this HU will be mine. I really like everything about it so far.
