I want to know how that water for in there too. I'm not driving it. I let it dry and used a compressor to dry everything out the best I could. I'm not sure how much if any water is down in the bottom of the piping. After letting it dry I started out up and it ran better. My only guess is that maybe there is a coupler that is loose and somehow water got in when it was raining one day.

Either way, I'm driving my other car in the mean time. :-\

Well you could pull the spark plugs and turn the motor over to force any water out of the heads... though pulling plugs on this car has to suck.

I'm not convinced there is water in the heads. It didn't run long enough to suck water in. I think water just hit the maf and caused it to die. Gonna take off some lower piping and see if there's anything down there today since it's a warner day.

I'm running the Drift Armor crash bar on my BRZ.

The intercooler mounted to it basically the same as it mounted to the stock crash beam.

The crash bar allowed me to cut holes in the front bumper to allow a LOT more air into the front for better cooling.

I had to weld studs to my drift bar to mount the intercooler, it also allowed me to run the hot side pipe under the rad cradle shortening it considerably.

Would 255/40/17 be enough for 500hp? Tires would be toyo r888. Mainly street/mountain driving.

255 r888s at 500hp will require a new transmission and eventually axles.

Okay with that being said, and the upgrades you stated, I also plan on upgrading my LSD. I just don't want to be sliding everywhere upon straight line acceleration.

With a 10,000$ v160 swap, 1000$ DSS axles, a good progressive tune, a limited slip, coilovers and some gears and sticky 255s you have tons of grip.

I have stock struts and hankook v12s in 245 and spin 3rd everywhere and still blew up a transmission at 450whp.

Oh wow! Well I'm never going to swap my transmission for that cost lol I don't mind spinning a little bit, I just don't want it to be dangerous during wot.

It's only as dangerous as your right foot let's it be, it can be dangerous at stock power levels if you cant drive properly. I ran 500whp on the stock Prius tires, not for long mind you but I didn't die lol.
