Any shops repair headlights???
Hey guys,
I recently ordered some headlights (winjets) from someone and when they shipped them they only put two thin towels in the box to pad them against damage. When they got to me they had minor scratching on them, rather than going through the hassle of getting a full refund through paypal I'd like to get a partial refund and have them repaired somewhere locally. Anyone know of a place that could do that so I can get a quote? Thanks! Last edited by xrahxeastside; 12-04-2014 at 09:16 PM. |

Depends on how bad they are. I usually sand and clear coat plastic lens lights

I uploaded a picture of the worst scratch, like I said minor. But I have no experience in repairing headlights and don't want to mess them up.

Wet sand and polish will take care of it just fine. Same process as paint, but plastic is softer, so you can use less aggressive polishing compounds.
Filing insurance claim will probably require a shop receipt though... best to just return them or see if seller will give you a partial refund.

First, did you get these repaired yet? Second, if you live in or around Nova I can get those scratches out for you if you would like no charge.
Or any reputable detail shop that does headlight restoration could remove those scratches. |
