I've certainly been kicking around removing the FR-S. Though since I've already been asked if this was the new Tc, I may just keep it.

Looks great, screw all the people saying it's "too mainstream" lol.
I have mine plasti dipped as well. As long as the cans are warm and you apply it right, there's hardly any texture.

yeah just go slowly when peeling the area you want

I have had my badges dipped from 1st day of ownership and did my side vents months ago

@ThugNasty: Noticed your thread on the dip forums. you choose a colour yet? I'm planning on going yellow with black accents in a couple months.

Still leaning towards clear or blue, but I'm open to almost anything.
Probably gonna be a while before I do it though, I love my Asphalt paint too much to cover it up yet :p

Do you take the badges/emblems off to dip them?

Nope. Just tape off an area around the badges, spray away, and peel off the pieces of plasti dip not on the badge. It's extremely forgiving and easy to remove.

Do this, I did and love it. No people really stare because they dont know what the car is! Piston badge looks sweet on rear and if your into plasti dipping you could make it match your sides.

a couple months ago i did the same thing. but i used RED. although black doesnt look bad either.

Update: Had the car checked by a body shop and just as I had suspected no other choice put to retouch and paint on the affected area. The guy said the discolored portion wont go away with rubbing coz the plasti dip somehow made the original body color fade....Oh well lesson learned....

does anyone know what kind of red plasti dip would match our red, I was thinking of plasti dipping my badges so you can't see them. I want to go full stealth but don't want the pin holes.

No plastidip, but I put the red and silver piston on the rear, and I too get a lot of inquiries about what I'm driving. I've also replaced the front badge (loden), center caps (eBay), fender garnishes (TRD) and steering wheel cap (loden).
