I can't remember the thread title, but its in the DIY section. Darren did a DIY for headlight blackouts, and that's how it starts out. Just do a Google search for frs or brz front bumper removal. Hardest part is getting the sidemarkers out. Other than that, its a breeze

I never took off my bumper to install my CAI, I just unbolted the top portion of the bumper and that allowed enough space to squeeze the pipe and the intake to where it needed to be.. the only difference is you have to take off the frame that holds the hood to give clearance for the intake.

Bumper removal is scary the first time but it is actually very simple. Unbolt it, pull it off, push it back on, bolt it back up. Check out this SpecD Tuning Headlight install video. They show each step:

And then there are two more bolts on the bottom, if you look at the crank pulley, the two bolts are just right across from it, you wont miss it. Once you take the bolts off the frame which holds the hood, it should easily come off. It's super lightweight so this can all be done without needing someone else to help out. Now all you have to do is just carefully guide the installed filter + intake pipe to the desired location. Once you do so, just reinstall the frame and youre good to go. No worries about worn front bumper retainers whatsoever. Hope this helps.

Tips for taking off front bumper for BRZ to instal Perrin Cai?
I'd recommend getting one of those little plastic remover tools, I wound up breaking a lot of those fakeish threaded plastic bolts. Harbor freight has them cheap

Once you get the side markers out, it's pretty easy. Just take your time and don't force anything.
