2016 Subaru BRZ, missing rear spoiler,6.2" and Rear Cam

Hi, Good day!

While I'm following up my BRZ delivery status at my dealership today, I saw this 2016 AT Subaru BRZ Limited displayed and quickly seated in and noticed something is not right, it didn't came with a Starlink, rear spoiler and back up camera. Am I being ripped off? Because I ordered this exact model except, its a Manual.

And yes, the manager says that its the 2016 Limited model.

Please do respect my post.

I'm very sorry for my Bad English.

Thanks advance
and
God Bless!

Only Sport-tech has the rear spoiler. I'm not too sure about touch screen but I thought it came with it too.

Afaik, backup camera is legally mandatory now in the US?

Where are you located? Region plays a large role in what options your model is supposed to come with.

The 2016 Limited in the US is supposed to come with spoiler and touchscreen audio.

Regional difference, you need to check the official subaru web site for accurate information. Every country has different spec.

Not yet. I think the plan is 2018. There are still new cars (MY 2016 at least, not sure about MY 2017) sold with no backup camera or with backup camera as a paid option. T think Scion tC doesn't have even as an option, as an example.

Can confirm it's 2018 in the US, so should be in all cars from MY 2018 onwards.

It will be interesting to see what the manufacturers do for the Canadian market - I haven't heard of a similar requirement coming into force here at that time - has anyone? Nothing definitive via Google.

Update - shot off an email to Transport Canada, nothing on their web site.

Thank you very much for all of your helps guys.

I emailed Subaru Asia and waiting for any reply.

And yes, Im from Philippines.

If this turned out to be true, im gonna slightly regret this, since 86s here get free Aero kits for the same price as mine. Haha

Thanks again and God Bless!

In my line of work (auto manufacturing management) I read a pile of Automotive Journals and so far the requirement has been pushed out for 1 year every year since 2013. At this point the law is supposed to go into effect in March 2017 but I wouldn't hold my breath. Now that said, most of the Canadian cars will end up with them anyway since it is cheaper to just include them as per US specs than carry different parts for the two markets. They try to keep as many thing the same as possible to save cost.
I will dig though the Journals (they are actually printed on paper believe it or not) for the write up and scan and post it if I can find it.

I did see on the Transport Canada site a 2015 memo from a Canada-US auto standards coordinating task force outlining planned regulations that will align the US and Canadian standards, and it lists backup camera requirements as one element that will be aligned.

Well its definitely a limited based on the HVAC controls and push button start.

In the US all the limiteds have a touchscreen with GPS and the spoiler, but no backup cam. Although there are still differences between Limited models here, like the chrome fender garnish trim.

From what I have read there are two sources that sell Subaru's in the USA. All the West Coast BRZ Limiteds I have seen have the rear camera as standard..

Eh, where'd you hear that? I've never seen a backup cam as a standard option for any BRZ in the US.
