Carbon Cabin Filter

I drive 2017 brz with pp in Seattle.
I have been using genuine subaru cabin filter which is not carbon filter.
The only carbon filter that I know that can filter pm2.5 particles into brz/86 cabin is Mann Filter made in Germany. They have a product line called FP 1827 which is not available in the states. I am back in Korea for two months and the air pollution is serious here. We run 4 air purifiers at home, which have pm2.5 proven hepa filter(13 and 14)installed. Everyone in my family drives cars with carbon canbin filter by bosch etc...
I know air quality is great in the state of washington but my vacation in Korea got me freaked out. I would like to buy a couple of Mann and try it back at home since it's only about $30 per one and oem is more than $20.
What do you think?

The stock one should be carbon....

Since in Seattle the air rarely gets bad.. usually only when the fires start rolling in, you could probably get away with getting a face mask for when the air quality gets really bad.

At that point you should be wearing a mask when you go outside anyways, so might as well.

Stock one should be fine for your area.

I'm personally using a K&N washable cabin filter now because the past 2 summers I had to replace the stock filter due to extreme forest fire smoke contamination. My vacation spot is in the southern interior of BC so I would drive through thick smoke up to 10 times through the spring and summer. They had so much soot buildup my whole car would smell burnt inside until I replaced them. I don't expect the forest fire situations to improve in the coming years so the re-usable filter will pay for itself quickly.

I bought one of these during the fires in Cali: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Is the Mann Filter better than this? Can you please post a link for where to buy the Mann Filter?
