Anyways I have that ticking/hissing/puttering noise under load that other owners have claimed as well. Did it eventually go away?
just had the header + op installed with stock fp, i'm noticing this hissing/rattling noise during cold start (around 1800rpm), very noticeable from outside below passenger fender/door area. noise goes away when the car is warmed up. while driving i notice it in the cabin around passenger floor area every time i accelerate/blip the throttle above 2krpm, the noise goes away if i hold the throttle though. does this header rub against the skidplate like some headers do?

Startup with a catless uel is sounds pretty loud rattly until it warms up if you didn't edit your start up values in your ROM.

The sand rattling on the passenger side under acceleration never went away but you get used to it. I went to a few exhaust shops & did a smoke test no leaks. I think it's just the thin walls on the header.

My header rubbed the skid plate. If the bar for the slip joints points down then look for rub marks on the alloy plate. It was pretty obvious on mine. Fixed it with a hammer and punch.

Got a few PM's about my cold start values. Here's mine:

Car starts up pretty quiet after doing this; like what it normally would with just a catback but with a rumble cause of the UEL

PS. Now that it's winter and the temps are lower I find that my remote starter has been finnicky at times. I'm not exactly sure if it's connected to this or why but I'm trying to figure it out

This is what works for me

I wonder why your RPM delta is at 3600? Mine is at -10000. It affects when Overrun Enrichment activates. These are the lowest MAF settings I've been able to use, and still get it start reliably, even in cold weather. I also warmed up the timing a bit, since retarded timing causes loud starts.

Oh that's for launch control... not overrun overrun fueling. I took the pic to remind me of the changes I made sorry for the confusion

I'm in the market to buy uel for my 2017 86 and I really love the gruppe s. Do any of you that had the gruppe s header for over a years had any problems (leaks, cracks etc)? I've done a lot of research but overall the gruppe s seems to be a really good header for the price and I haven't seen bad review about yet. Thanks for any output

Nice and by the downpipe you mean the frontpipe? Why did you replace it 3x?

Took off stock for an aftermarket (cheap) then got a while new exhaust (after the header) and had to replace it again. I think it goes downpipe, front pipe, mid pipe exhaust? I replaced the smallest shortest pipe 3x.

I've had mine arguably the longest, and everything is still good!

A few thousand miles n/a, and the rest have been with boost.

Highly recommend this header!
