Have you tried upshifting at 3500 rpm or less?

The MPG was calculated from meticulous records of Odometer change divided by gasoline needed to fill the tank.

I believe only the tires made a noticeable difference in fuel economy. Also note my driving habits have not been constant. I've been a wee bit more aggressive after the exhaust got put on

Probably not groundbreaking news, but I like the way the fuel price is trending. I was out of the country in July. Right now I have 5263 mi on the odometer

Trip Computer Lifetime Average: 28.2 mpg

You do know it is a 6 speed and that you can use 6th gear as low as 40 mph right. The only way I can come up with some of the poor gas mileage numbers some people are seeing is that they rarely use 6th gear or enjoy going down the road at 3000+ RPM at all times.

MPG below in my sig, sort of poor for A/T, but I tend to stay in lower gears. Hopefully a tune will help a bit...

Sucks, just refueled yesterday at Shell with 91. Now my Avg MPG reading says less than 15mpg. I've been at 28-30 for the first 2000 miles so far. WTF!?

I also changed my oil filter over the weekend with K&N filter and Eneos 0w-20 5.5 qts. Soooo weird. I'm wondering if my computer need some kind of reset or maybe I got a bad tank of fuel. I'm hoping that I'll still get 270-280 between 10 gallon fill ups.

Dude, when you are at 6th gear and cruising 65mph check the real time mpg. Let's see if you get something reasonable at this level.

Haha, even 22mpg means you're having a little too much fun. I'm getting around 26, but if I'm not having any fun I can get up to 30 average

I know but it's a half drop from my usual city driving...even when I was at idle getting my drive thru burrito today the Avg MPG was slowly trickling down. I was sitting still. crazy sh%t going on

I used to get 25mpg before first oil change. Now I'm getting 27mpg 50/50 city/highway. My usual shift point is 3500 the first two gears, 3k onwards, except when uphill or overtaking. Mine is 6AT btw.

An update. I have an 6AT. I drive 80 city and 20 hwy. I hardly ever go to sport mode and drive conservatively. After several tanks of gas and an oil/filter change to Royal Purple 0w20 I've been consistently getting around 25 miles per gallon.
