265's all around. This was my first autocross with this car and with this setup. Car was a blast! S2k has 255's on 17x9 rpf1's. Double meat. PS I feel like my car looks great and is low enough in person, then I compare pictures to everybody else on here. Damn. Rear needs to come down another freaking inch by the looks of it. I thought the rake looked nice for a second... |

As for the extra weight, I didn't really notice a change in acceleration/deceleration. It has to be so small I'm surprised when I read people saying they noticed. The weight of the wheel is actually less than stock (about 18.5 lb on my scale) which is not too bad. Granted the tires weigh quite a bit more. The turning feel is a little bit heavier. I wouldn't say it's a negative thing because the amount of grip you get in exchange is huge. I went wheels/tires first on this car because I felt that the stock tires were a huge weak link. Other than power of course. The stock Michelin tires are awful, for any car. I kinda understand what Subaru was doing to make it "driftable", but I can still break loose in 1st and 2nd pretty easily with 265s. 18 x 9.5's may be overkill but hey it looks sweet and handles great. |

you two are making it incredibly hard to choose between 17x9 and 18x9.5

Okay so the obligatory "what can I fit?" post...
Tein S-Tech (advertised -1.5, -1.7"), SPC Rear Arms (adjustable to -3.5* camber) I know I want RPF1's in SBC. I know I want a 245 or 255 tire. I know my size options are 17x9 +35 or 18x9.5 +38. I know I want a square setup. This is a 90% daily driver with a few weekends a year doing some recreational AutoX and maybe one track weekend a year. I love the feel of the car and I want to keep that unchanged as much as possible. Leaning more towards the 17x9 +35 with a 245/40/17. 18's do look realllllly good though. But a 18x9.5 with a 245 tire will be a little stretchy for my taste so can I fit 255's without issues on the stock struts? And secondly do I want 255's? Will it ruin the feeling of the car? Will it make my lightly modded (Perrin pulley and TRD catback and eventually Intake and a tune) car feel like a dog? @Jive Turkey please with your infinite wisdom, guide my way

Why on earth would you think that counts? Also, are there chunks missing on your wheels?

You might find more appreciation in the aggressive wheel thread.
