yeah, you should do that. it is very unacceptable. they probably gave the car to someone else cause he knows one of the people who work at the dealership. you put money down. ask them for a car or a full refund. |

Well this seriously sucks... I think you got the full right to file a complaint on this one...
Seems like Al Futtaim messed it up with the shipping bit.. You sure there isnt any misunderstanding from the departments at the dealer??? This crap always happens with me in different companies... |

Hi There, understand your frustration, booked and paid for my Toyota 18th June, promised that I will get my car Mid of August. Received an email First week of August that the car will be delayed to October 10th Since the Shipment is arriving only 26th Sept and the car needs 10 days or more to be ready for delivery !!! Suddenly 12th Sept got a call from my sales REp congratulating me that my car has arrived to Jebel Ali and max after one week I should get it. After following up, got to know yesterday that the clearance is delayed and I can only get my car first week of October!!! What a shame man, I started regretting buying this car really.

No need for a sample pic, but yes its like this one (minus the bodykit) He is the 2nd owner as far as he told me, and he has just done an RB20DET swap (wish if it just had the oreginal L24,,,, I just wanted to stroke that engine to 3.0 or 3.1 L-series engine sound really awesome when done right) but anyway, I still like the rb as long as engine swap still from the mother company Edit: btw, I'm going to see this car on sat or sunday (hopfully he will wait for me, not like the previous one who sold his R30 just 1 hour before I reach his home...... damn I did a 5 hours trip to buy that car!)

I feel your pain with what happened with the first seller, it happened to me back in late 2008 when i almost bought a mint condition ae86, but the seller actually lied and told me to wait for a few days, because he had work outside town and promised to keep the car for me, he switched off his phone, just to find out few days later that he sold it to someone else. |

An update from OMAN (Spetember 28, 2012).
So I went to the Subaru showroom to check on the BRZ that just arrived. Way overpriced with no frickin' Manual . Been ages since I drove manual and swore I would when I buy a real sports car. Went to Toyota and the same story, just not that overpriced. Toyota 86 (Full Option Only w/Auto) = 12,700 OMR (= $33,000; 122,000 AED) Subaru BRZ (Full Option Only w/Auto) = 16,250 OMR (= $43,000; 155,000 AED) EDIT: Insurance is 1,070 OMR (= $2,780; 10,200 AED) per year! Meh, I picked a normal car for the remianing 4 years of college for the reasons above + not taking a sports car to a Third-World country . Enjoy your BRZ's and 86's guys! I would definitely get a manual BRZ as my Graduation present, and god knows how awesome it will be till then. I'll be back..

And I thought our prices were steep.... Hey buddy just be patient; I personally am not getting mine in like 6 months if not more.. Maybe after graduation you can sort out stuff...
As a matter of fact; do you think Dyna Trade would ever get an 86? I think its naive to say that about them.. |

@ROJ - Definitely after graduation I'd get one. I wouldn't like to settle with the 86 while I'm in love with the BRZ! btw Keep the awesome work on your blog
