245/35R18 is a perfect size for that wheel (OEM diameter), or 255/35 could fit but probably overkill. Square is better IMO.

What suspension are you on?

Are 17" wheels with 245/40 tires so much larger than stock to cause the speedo to be off? I haven't noticed a difference but I figured someone here knows.

Pretty much bang on the same diameter. Speedo should be accurate.

No problem. I'm running pretty much that exact setup. See my sig.

18x9 +35 with Eibach ProKit and camber bolts, 245/35R18 tires. Looks fantastic (IMO).

You'll be fine, and the 245 tire has a slight stretch on that rim, could fit a 255/35 if needed, but its probably too much tire for stock power.

Here is a question and I've looked back at least through 20+ pages lol. More directed around front camber, as I know what wheels I am looking at and know they fit. but....

I will be dropping 1 to 1.250 inch max drop.

18 x 9.5" (40) offset is the wheel size, looking at using 255/35/18 MPSS tires.

Does one NEED to run camber in the front to -2 if only dropping that much?

Every example I have seen or that's been discussed with this size the people are running quite low, say 1.5" or greater so I fully understand in needing camber from -2 or greater with slamming the car down to seeing no gap. But given if one was leaning to less extreme drop would say -1.0 be just fine up front and have no rubbing or issues?

Reason I am asking as in the final dilemma, I like the idea of rotating tires at a min front to back depending on tire. But if the car is primarily street and hwy driving the benifit of rotating simply may not be there as to regarding the amount of tire wear on the inner edge at running a big camber up front...

Down to where I have to make order soon because wheels I want will take months to get and I'd like to get my alignment within a useable spec here this weekend when I install my KWs and Vorshlaggs on my car.

Thanks if someone can chime in. Currently I am on a staggered set of Rotas and running -.4 up front and -2.5 in back. Going to bring backs in by using LCAs to around -1.8 ish and fronts are unknown as I'll decide based on what I can gather here...

I know many folks running -2 or greater up front but I think with most of my driving I am abit concerned about dramatic tire wear and how it will handle when its 95%+ street and HWY.

I'm about to do 17x9 +45 with 245/40. Will try a 3mm spacer in the front and hope for the best. RCE Yellow springs.

I just ordered some Enkei RPF1 18x9.5 +38. I'm trying to order some tires ASAP. What is the widest I can go up front and in the back without hitting anything on the suspension? I am dropped on Hotchkis Springs, which are about 1" all around. I also have SPC camber bolts if that helps any.

Statement or question?
Should be close, depends on your camber though. Let us know.

Fronts 245/35 give or take, maybe 255's
Rears should be okay up to 265 wide

He means the wheels are dual-pattern, 5x114.3mm and also 5x100mm pcd. Wheels should have 10 stud holes.

Your fitment will poke out, pretty aggressive. You will need lots of camber to pull it back in.

Not at all an optimum offset for our cars. +30 to +40 for that width is closer to what you need.
