The drive-through to Starbucks has some cement berm that I struck a few times. I guess the SUVs and such just run right over the berm and no one notices it makes the corner too sharp of a turn. Either way, I just park and go inside now.

I got some touch up paint for the yellow and used SEM bumper coat I had left over from a car I'm restoring. Rather than spraying it, it looked fine with brush application.

My lucky day... I’ve lost the clip A for the corner light, so bought new clips. Put it on the corner light and put it back on, it snapped in half.

Just wow...

I had to replace one of my sidemarkers. I bought as $20 knockoff off of ebay and you can't tell the difference. the only difference was that there is foam around the connector on the stock version.

That’s not a bad deal. In the end, I end up using those 3M heavy duty double sided Velcro. I’ll find out it’ll hold in place.

Switched from our 5-year-old GTS 86 Auto to a new 2019 Golf R. I miss the looks. I confirmed the R steering is far more to my liking (variable ratio and much faster turn in and feels just as accurate to me), there's nothing like torque, cornering/handling need not come at the expense of ride-comfort and quietness is nice.
If ToyoBaru could change the steering, turbo the motor and fit dynamic adjustable dampers I would be tempted.

I rubbed my shiny new black 17” rim on a gutter while parking, taking the paint off, then cursed myself solidly for about twenty minutes. Now it’s my spare and I’m researching wheel repair.

See if you can find touch up paint that matches. Is the metal gouged? I would be concerned that the Wheel repair finish would not have the same quality finish and not last like the original.

Installed knock-off 2017 tail lights. VLAND ebay specials for $218, just had to repin two wires.

Change the steering?! Really?! Most people, including myself, considers the steering to be one of the strongest aspects of this car, that's comparable to any sports car at least triple the price.

Doesn't the new Golf have electic steering with virtually no real feedback from the road? Most driving enthusiasts pretty much thumb their noses at that. To each their own though,I guess.

Replaced serpentine belt because I went through rain yesterday and it was squealing like a pig and not stopping.
Car only has 17k miles on it so it's weird that it went so soon. Guess the Florida weather killed it even though it's garaged and rarely driven.
