Hard cases for track gear?

I'm assuming several folks here have a "track box" of some kind that they keep tools, fluids, brake pads, and other random oddities in. I'm trying to figure out what the largest feasible hard case is I can get into the trunk. I don't think a Pelican 1630 will quite fit, but that seemed like the best bet. What are folks using for their "track box" here?

That's overkill my man lol I used to use those clear plastic tubs with covers but the stupid things kept breaking/cracking. I use empty beer boxes (24 glass bottle cases) + some duct tape for extra support. I carry less crap with me now and it takes less space. In the beer box I put fluids, pads, towels, etc.

For tools I have a separate bag for that. As far as electronics (GoPro, AIM Solo DL, etc) I recently got this and it's been great. Laptop and other stuff goes in backpack. I also have a separate small toolbag for air compressor & jumper.

I'll have to take a picture sometime as it's easier to see than list everything out in words.

just measure how much room you have to spare with the other stuff you bring, and get a storage bin(s) from home depot, the kind that look like giant tupperware. Maybe grab a small tool bag or tool box for heavy hand tools and another larger bin for all the extra stuff, gloves, wheel chocks, jack stands, brake pads, fluids, electric driver, etc

I use a generic milk box. Fits all the shit I need and then some. $5

Small tool bag from HF and a cardboard box has been working for me. I used to carry it on the daily in older cars I've owned and not just to the track.

Just replace them as needed

Dewalt tough system large. Its not exactly for track but it happens to fit perfectly in that spot when the seats are folded flat

I've been looking for something similar for HPDE/AutoX. I'm currently deployed, otherwise I'd look into one of these two options.

I'd like to hear what others are using. I'd like something I can keep my helmet, magnetic numbers, towels, oil, etc in... and something to put all the crap from inside my car inside so it won't get wet at the track.

I do the same thing. I line mine with a garbage bag in case anything leaks.

I also have a duffle bag for the all the soft items. (suit, helmet, gloves, shoes, underwear, Hans, Solo, laptop)

Those two things are basically all you need aside from fuel.

I'm not sure you're going to want to long-term store your helmet in a sealed container that spends long periods in the dark between openings. Unless I was trying to see what exotic respiratory ailment I can withstand.

Something about the size of the lower height 10-gallon is what I use for all of the smaller stuff. All the hand tools for a tire change and fiddling with swaybars and (now) stuff to do a wheel stud, towels and wash/detailer to clean off the sides of the car, various stuck bolt sprays, numbers, tire pump. All fits in that. Impact travels in it's own case much more secure and watertight case. Gets put in the trunk on top of the 10-gallon tote. HF jack and handle? Don't care. Same goes for jack stands if I have to bring them. Cooler? That is again it's own much better watertight container, and fits next to the 10-gal tote.

When it rains (or is threatening rain) I have a large, thick clear window sheeting tarp folded and rolled up with a bungee cord that gets tossed on top of that with the umbrella. How do I keep it from flying away when I have to use it? The watertight/crap I don't care about gets used as weights, along with the spare tire. Anything else I might bring will easily get under the tarp.

I use two Rubbermaid Brute 14 gallon bins. One for fragile/clean materials like camera equipment, shoes, gloves, etc. And the other for dirty/heavier equipment like tools, jack stands, etc. The height is 10.7" and it is probably the tallest you can fit without forcing it in/out of the trunk.

edit: @Tristor the Pelican 1630 will be too tall. A Pelican 1610 will work although a bit much for the job.

1 plastic container - 22" L x 16" W x 12" H
1 22" duffel bag with wheels.
1 small Domke bag with GoPros, etc.

The bigger bags easily fit side-by side in the trunk with enough room for a camp chair, too. Cooler and small shade structure can go in the back seat if needed.

Several milk crates would be my preference rather than one bigger box.
The heavier it gets, the harder it is to lift in and out.
Then there is the issue of fewer options with how you can tetris other things around it.
