Dailey engineering drysump pan arrived. Decided to go with the Dailey kit because of how the pump mounts to the pan eliminating line work to the scavenge side of the pump. Not to mention it's definitely eye porn as far as machining goes.

Have had quite a bit of customer work so not much time for the racecar up until about a week ago I was able to get a bit of work done.

First got the rear suspension installed, like the front it's Wisefab's rear track kit, and we also duplicated the front with a AP by Stillen rear 4 piston kit. The wisefab kit shaved upsprung weight IN HALF! 34lbs vs 17lbs. Unfortunately the BBK added 5lbs to the rear for a total loss of 12lbs.

PBM is located pretty close to use so I used their subframe & diff bushing kits. These not only give you the benefits of a solid bushing but also allow you the option to raise the subframe & diff. I chose to raise the subframe simply because it will allow us to run a little larger of a diffuser and give the car a little more ground clearance from the subframe. Raising the diff helps with reducing the angle on the axles these cars get when lowered. BTW these were some of the most difficult time consuming bushings I've ever had to replace, and I've done a lot. I absolutely hate burning bushings out and will use a press anytime I can but I had no other choice then to burn these out.
easier.

I just did the subframe bushings as well..like you I burned them out...what a PITA!

Installed the SPl bushings. Build is looking good! More info on thon dry sump?

Sorry about late reply. It’s a Dailey Engineering drysump kit. The pump scavenges straight from the pan which is nice because it eliminates quite a bit of scavenge hose work. If you’ve got more questions shoot me a PM

Car got pushed outside for a bit of time as again been so busy with customer work. Got it back inside and cleaned up back in December and been waiting to get a spark of inspiration. I’ve been stuck on the transmission tunnel and through around the idea of cutting out the entire floor of the car and tube framing everything but with the cage being already built it was already kind of late for that. Didn’t like the way the stock trans tunnel was working so I got rid of all of it !

Didn’t like the way the TSS engine mounts built off the subframe were working as I started to look at header design so I ordered an engine plate to mount the engine off of so that I can cut out the engine mounts from the subframe allowing for plenty of room to build a proper header. Picked up some nice CNC cut stainless header flanges so I can start on the headers.

Also the edelbrock super victor manifold arrived and I’m pretty happy with the fitment, about as far back as it could go without having to cut into the wiper box! Deciding between running a carb style efi throttle body with an air cleaner right on ontop or run a 90* elbow to a standard single blade throttle body.

Most likely go with the single blade as I can utilize a drive by wire setup easier which will be great for traction control. That and the air cleaner would require a massive cowl in the hood.

Toying with the idea of sealing off the main hoop so that I can really cut out most of the back seats/inboard of the frame rails all the way to the back of the car and run the diff and tires exposed. Much like the JGTC BRZ.

Also got around to installing some PBM 5x114.3 hubs for the front so that I could ditch the lame conversion spacers.

Took home a 1st place finish in a Lucky Dog Racing 12hr enduro last week. Exciting stuff, in a car with a fastest lap 10 seconds slower than the competition and a lot less money backing the team.

Yeah that's a good way to do it, mine will have to be like that when I'm done.

Tons of respect to the guys out there who do beautiful tin work. Not especially my favorite thing to do but practice makes perfect. Still early in the design, need to flange the panels and bead roll them for rigidity to make it all look nice. Had to make the panels individual pieces otherwise it wasn’t removable.

Thinking about flocking the final pieces, or a durable enamel paint or powder coat.
