Let's talk phone mounts

Anyone hav any good out of the box phone mounts that can be put in the useless small holder on the FRS/BRZ? I saw one thread where someone 3d printed one but just wondering if anyone found anything that doesn't require access to a 3D printer.

As of right now I am borrowing a cd-mounted one but if possible I'd like to utilize that space.

Don't know what you mean, do you have a link? If you want to make it all nice and professional then I'd get one custom fit for our cars.

he wants something that utilizes the cubby hole in front of the shifter.

I dont know how well this area will work because its a tight space and you also have to look down, but I haven't come across any mounts yet that go in this spot.

If you can handle it being somewhere else, proclip is a good solution but i'm personally waiting for @Beat-Sonic because they have a really nice phone clip holder coming out shortly. It will sit in between the two panels where the radio is.

Mountek might be a good choice- i havent tried it but since it fits in the cd slot and I dont even own any CDs i'm ordering one to try to use my NoteII as a GPS

Not a bad solution but for BRZ owners, that would interfere with the navi unit. Just food for thought.

I just dont like the cluttered look of something floating up top. The mount, for me at least, isn't really for easy looking as it is for somewhere to put my phone and look good. Thanks for the suggestions.

Anyone try this one?

It looks like the sticky piece would fit in the slot and the phone would come out into the open.

Regarding the Mountek one I actually bought that one but didn't like it. It seemed loose and tipped around (maybe defective?) and it covered the top of the screen which kind of annoyed me so I am trying to find something that can go in the "cubby"

Got this planning to use it in my old car, looks similar to the link you posted. Seems like a good phone holder but, at least mine, wont fit "inside" the square cutout w out some modification

I have the Iottie easyflex 2 and I love it. It won't fit in the square slot but I mounted mine down by the shifter. It works great.

I was thinking something like this. The only worry is stability in both the bend of the cable, and the male part that fits in to the phone.
