Am I the only person who really enjoys the stereo in this car?
Am I the only one who actually likes the radio and sound quality of the FR-S? I like it more than in my previous Mazdaspeed6. But I don't have that much to compare it to. The inside of a car isn't a good place for acoustics anyways. I wonder how this compares to other cars in the same price range. It's 1000x better than in my roommate's 2012 Mazda 3, that's for damn sure.

I have the upgrade stereo. Sounds good to me, however, could use a little more ommph as I have to set it for 24 to hear the dam thing lol. With other cars, I usually have it set for 20. And yes, I have played with the "hear", "feel, etc, settings.

I think the radio is impressive but.. I'm not an audio-phile.
However, it did require some time with the controls. First and foremost mine wasn't set to FRS, it was set to TC. Changed that then also set SSP to "Feel" and played with bass/treble and bam... Very impressed. Now when I listen to NPR all day those interviews sound soooooo good. |

I've got morel elites. My BRZ sounded so bad, I had to over compensate. :-) Stereo is fine. Speakers are trash.

Sounds like most people here equate having wub wub to good sound quality...

Yea I think the stereo is actually pretty good. Just not sure why the radio quality/reception changes on me, which can get annoying.
Speaker rattle is horrible. |

Stock radio is great except bass is lacking. I don`t listen to rap or hip hop so radio is suffice. DRIVE LARGE
