Hey Goodvibes, this thread could become "post your your Sport Line installs"?

Here are some photos of my BRZ on the same setup with spacers:

Yes you'll blow the struts/shocks, it's just a matter of when. I'd recommend coilovers from RaceComp Engineering instead of springs. I've had multiple sets of springs and RaceComp's yellow set was the best of all the ones I've tried and ridden in (H&R, Sportline, Pro-Kit, etc).
Thank you sir stockysnail for your input, I really appreciated it. I wish I was able to go with coilovers but they are too expensive for my budget plus the fact that there will be too many variables to deal with (too many adjustments have to be made for the car to handle properly) for a car newbie like me. It is sad to hear that the strut will blow but I hope it won't happen any time soon

Very nice! How do you like it? Did you use the same technique/method that OP used and have you encountered any difficulties during the installation process? Any clunking or weird noise at all? My apology if I asked too much because I will be installing my Sportline this weekend. Thank you!

It really depends. 1.4" down is approaching the bottom limit on the strut. Some people kill their struts pretty quickly; others last for years with no issues. If you track your car or take it off any sweet jumps, obviously you're putting more wear on the strut and it'll go sooner. Struts are considered wearing parts, so if and when they do eventually go, the Bilstein B6 is an excellent replacement strut that works well with a 1.4" drop. High quality springs and struts will work better than low quality coilovers every time. That can be addressed as it becomes necessary though; there's plenty of time to think about it.

The springs and spacers were installed by a specialist and included full wheel alignment.

No clunking or weird noises.

Obviously less suspension travel, the ride is firmer but okay.

Thank you sir gramicci101. I would say I will never track my car. I daily mine to work and off work and the roads here where I live (Utah) are pretty good and even. Speaking of coilovers, I was looking at the cheap and favorable TEIN Flex Z but like I said I decided to go with lowering springs because it is way more affordable and I won't have to deal with those crazy fine adjustments, at least for now. Like you said "High quality springs and struts will work better than low quality coilovers every time" I will definitely consider getting the Bilsein B6 to pair with my Sportlines when the stock struts finally decide to give up on me.

Tein Flex Z is one of the outliers. They are not a low quality coilover; they're actually very nice, with a lot of features one finds on more expensive offerings. They cut cost by not being rebuildable, which most other coilovers are. They are effectively a strut, spring, camber plate, and height adjustment package already pre-assembled for you. They'll still last as long as any other strut would, so when it comes time to replace struts, that wouldn't be a bad option to consider.

Nice write-up OP! Looks great too. I'm still torn between Swift springs/OEM struts and Tein Flex Z coils.
