Where do you get these great pictures detailing the MY17 changes?

Just because it might be a lateral step it does not mean people won't do it. Just chill out, man. Every post doesn't need to be a negative.

@Myriad : There are different filters for the TRD airbox and the TRD factory filter replacement (just to be clear). I'm not sure if the 2017 manual airbox has a TRD factory replacement filter quite yet.

Very little doubt the TRD would still work on the 17 MY but other than cosmetics (which are important to many) there would be very little reason to do it. Since the new stock one provides more surface area and flow than the old it is likely almost the same as the pre 17 TRD one and any gains would be minimal at best.

Not sure why I was quoted on this post...... I did say the TRD intake may me a lateral step. The biggest advantage might be getting rid of the sound generator and cleaning up the engine bay. I would hazard a guess that the available TRD intake would work with the 2017 manual vehicles though.

Because I agreed with you! Every quote is not a challenge or contrary.

Still applies I guess.

Not sure how you would do that anyway. I'd be stumped.

Given that the new engine produces 205HP or roughly a 2% increase through a combination of lower friction bearings, a new intake manifold, the air cleaner with 30% greater flow, and various other improvements I personally think the weight reduction of getting rid of the sound tube junk probably is the only improvement that might matter with the TRD. Likely as not the new intake box did nothing at all other than reducing noise, and the TRD one (which I really do own) probably does nothing for performance either other than removing the sound generator.

That of which may not have arms, does not render such incapable of battle. For I am a quadruped; a Wolf. My fangs shall sink into the grey matter of which you use, and rip it from your cranium and I shall revel in my victory, further to be reminded that I am unstoppable.

Fangs are meaningless.
