Refund and move on. I don't get why people keep getting themselves tied up in a bad situation with a bad product.

The kit leaks, no refund, charges for fix.
You can do business like this in the USA?
This is worse than I initially thought.

Now you see everyone's anger and frustration. Sold a faulty kit then charged for parts that should've been included. Top it off with a Car-B-Que and the angry mob followed....

And the longer it draws out the more negative the situation becomes. I realize it's probably due to legality that no posts are being made, but even a simple apologetic one at this point would go a ways towards quelling this.

I was already running Visconti's flash months before the FA20 flex kit came out. Why would I have switched vendors? I jumped on Visconti's flex kit when he released it because I was already invested with him. And thank you for insulting me, but there was nothing on the front end that would have implied the Airaid was going to a bad product when the initial group buy was active.

Your right! A lot of us got in the Airaid intake when it was first released, only to find out later it really did not offer any performance gains. And because they were one of the first if not first companies on the block to offer an intake, they took alot of heat when it was proven that it did not offer any real performance. From what I understand now, no intake offers a whole lot more performance over stock with a drop-in filter. But Airaid took a beating cuz they were first.

Honestly this is not the place for this but, If you are having an issue with any purchase you have made while using a bank card or credit card for parts or services, contact your provider. You may not receive a full refund as you may not be entitled to but they can get the ball rolling for you. It is part of the card companies customer protection stuff. I have had to help one of my customers do it before for an engine he ordered from somebody. You would be surprised how quickly things get resolved when the possibility of monetary loss on the business end gets involved. With that said if this is the actions you take I would not look to do any further business after that situation with said suppler as they do have the right to refuse customers.

I have a question on this. What was the end result of the AIRAID debacle? I know most of you guys still have your intakes, so I'm going to assume they didn't offer a refund/buyback? Just curious how that company handled that specific situation.

However, none of this is on topic for a tuning thread. Apologies.

Visconti's tune made my Airaid work, so I didn't pursue the issue any further. I'm on an old flash right now with the stock tune on Map 1, so if I forget to switch to 2 when I start up, I'll get stumbling. Never did pursue a refund though because the product became usable with tuning.

Listen, I get not talking about the Car-B-Que incident while it's under investigation, no problem there. What about all of his customers that have paid for tunes and are patiently awaiting updates? One area doesn't affect the other in my eyes so it would be in Visconti's best interest to come out from under the bed and get Rich out of the closet and start catching up and making things right. Instead, they have totally killed the business and continue to do so by the day. They should be conducting "business as usual" in every other area besides the Flex Fuel Kits.
