@ichitaka05, have you done anything AFA related? From what I can gather if you're affiliated with them, you can qualify for USAA. I'm saying this because I once received an e-mail from USAA saying that I qualify and all that jazz and I was wondering how; turns out, the previous work I did as a mentor in the AFA CyberPatriot program allowed me to take advantage of USAA.

Don't quote me on that though, because I'm unsure of the details. Just a heads up if you want to take a look.

I also had Progressive and faced similar issues to the one you're having. Including not totaling a car with a bent frame that should have been, and trying to hide it.

You serious? Progressive's claim department is nation wide bad? Cuz LITERALLY shop have previous damage photos AND current damage photos. Yes, they both got hit SAME spot with almost same force resulting SAME kind of damage, BUT support beam can clearly tell it's different damage. My blind adjuster claims body shop "machine pulled" the support beam to make it looks "fixed" with other trunk issues. I'm done arguing w him, so I called other insurance company and told em to get it fix through them (plus I won't have to pay the deductible)... but looking at the other insurance previous (everywhere), it doesn't look good. I'm praying that I don't have to pay out of my pocket.

To be fair, two bad experiences doesn't mean the entire company is bad, but I did not have much luck with them. I noticed the frame was a warped after getting the car back and called Progressive. They refused to give me an itemized invoice for the repairs, so I went to the shop. They showed me two quotes that they sent to Progressive. One to fix the frame properly which would have totaled the car, and another to more or less leave it as it was. The total Progressive said they paid matched the second quote within a few dollars.

Oh don't get me wrong, their regular customer service have been excellent! Not once they gave me an issue to adding, deleting cars/drivers or any other issues... just adjusters have been the issue. last time I got rear ended, I still haven't got my deductible back. It's been 3yrs now. When I ask claim department and adjuster, they say they don't know or that claim is closed. These shit happens... but I don't want my wife to go through these kind of shit, so I'll business somewhere else.

So they are great at helping you give them money but not so good on giving it back.

I had a home owners policy with state farm for over 30 years. When we were burglarized in '14 we made our first claim. Of the $35K claim, they paid $14k, then a month later I got a notice in the mail that they would not be renewing our policy.

Gotta love insurance companies.

Gotta love insurance companies.

I have never had an issue with either auto nor homeowners insurance.
Wife almost writes off the car in an at fault. We made two calls and they did the rest. They didn't even raise the rates.
Storage locker at an apartment we lived in get's broken into and they just say "send us a list with values" and a week later we got a cheque in the mail.
Awning at trailer torn by a carless son with a golf club. One call and it was replaced the very next day. Never heard about it again from them.
Maybe it is a difference between the to countries insurance laws?

The hosers are so much nicer than our domestic market pitbull insurance underwriters.
The middle men with their hands already in our pockets are a severe liability.

Well my wife got a new cane for the trip.
I am not positive but I suspect she may have taken up pimpin'! If she pulls a big hat with a feather out of the suitcase I will know for sure.
