Their scales have got to be *way* off! Car and Driver test I'm looking at has Z "Performance" model curb weight at 3507 lb.

Like you say, even at that weight it should be accelerating significantly quicker than a GR86 automatic!

Has anyone even seen one yet, in person? I haven't and I travel quite a bit. And attend local car shows.

Seems a bit odd IMO.

Guy at work has one on order. Like every single other car in the last year they are running months behind on production. They were supposed to come out in July but just started to actually trickle in last month (in Canada). He has been told he is probably still at least 3 months away from his.
All in all there are probably just not enough of them to spot yet.

Yep, Cadillac LYRIQ is another example. They took orders on two different occasions, Nov. 2011 were "Debut Edition" models. Sold out in less than 5 minutes. May 18th they took "2023" orders and sold out in 4 hours.

The Debut Editions were supposed to be delivered in June. They delivered 1. All the MY2013 models were supposed to be delivered by 3/31/2023.

So far they've only delivered Debut Editions and are on VIN 00650ish.

Current substantiated rumor (from a sales manager who attended an update on 12/15) is that on 12/22 all MY2023 order holders will be told that they'll be converted to MY2024 orders and they'll start building them in February, after they build 1 demo unit for each dealership in the US/Canada.

But, as a consolation prize we are all going to get a $50 gift card for some type of fancy chocolate.

I have seen some but drivers are senior guys and doesn't care prices. Most prospects don't want to pay $25k over msrp...
