I've been looking around at VINs, and it turns out the tS's weren't built sequentially. For example, 0244, 0331, and 0404 are all tS's, but 0216, 0290, 0386, and 0387 are Premium and Limited.

So it'll be a bit tougher to know where a particular tS slots into the production run until @Veloist releases his list.

I got mine! I was checking to see when my car would arrive, and it was still a vague “end of February .” For fun I started contacting dealers that had tS’s in transit to get quotes. I found a black one in Glendale and contacted them to see if they were willing to sell at msrp. They still wanted a $5k markup. Then Timmons in Long Beach contacted me, and said they had one unloading from the truck as we were talking. Msrp was $1k less than the one I have reserved, but they wanted $2k markup. I told them if they were willing to do msrp, I’d literally pick it up in 15 min. They agreed, and I drove over immediately. I was in a rush due to dinner reservations with my fiancée, but now I have 0280, unwashed, still carrying all stickers minus the white wrap, and no aero kit installed (the car beat the kit to the dealership, so I need to go back for it. I’m so excited, this car drives amazing. I’ll post pics tomorrow. Dealer thinks it’s the first customer delivery in SoCal. That’d be cool if it were.

@yurikaze Congratulations! I'm excited to see photos of the black one. Then this thread will have representation from all three colors.

But we must know... How was dinner?

@yurikaze congrats! I saw the black one in person when I got mine. I kind of regret not talking to the other guy to get him on here. Oh well. The Black one is gorgeous, it really makes the red accents from the Brembos and the bumper trims and the badges stand out. Oh and when you see it with the STI kit you’ll be even more in love with how the car looks. I think seeing a tS in general is really special given how rare they are. But seeing a black one?? That’s 105/500 we’re talking about.

I’d like to start the owner’s registry soon, just like how I did with the Series.HyperBlue. Technically anyone can start it and if anyone wants to, that’s fine but if I did it I would have some OCD with how the list would look like and how it would be updated. I’m actually in SoCal right now lol I would’ve done the list if I had a computer with me.

It actually won’t be too bad! The hardest part is finding where the VINs start and end. The nice thing about the tS, and actually the Series.HyperBlue too, is that they are the first VINs of their model year. Once I find the first VIN (and I double check by making sure exactly 100 VINs before it aren’t a Special Edition ViN) I actually start the list and don’t finish until I find the last VIN. I know I have the last VIN when it’s the 500th or so VIN, and I also check the 100 VINs after that to make sure.

I really want to start the list soon, which means the data I have will show where the car was originally delivered to rather than where it was sold. State and color distribution will be available as usual too.

@Side @Veloist Thanks guys! I seriously can’t sleep right now, I’m sure you know how it is.
Dinner was amazing, it was a belated valentines dinner, but I would have rather not gone through the experience of leaving a brand new tS with a valet, haha. After seeing all three colors, I think it’s really hard to go wrong with any of them, they all have their own charms.
Opening the trunk for the first time was a shock, I thought I was about to catapult the wing into the rear glass.

Japan is covered in snow and slush right now. I imagine the cars are picking up a lot of that being shipped from Gunma to the port.

Love how the black looks with the red accents. I was debating between black and WRB, but I just like that blue too much. Looks like my car should be arriving in the next day or two, but I'm out of town till Monday

Ohhh that makes a lot of sense!

Also you may be right about having the first tS in SoCal! Irvine Subaru and Palm Springs Subaru also had theirs since Friday but they’re still in stock!

I am not a fan of black cars. Never have been.
I would own that in black any day! All the highlight just pop.

Maybe it is just nostalgia for me though.
