this is really just a fan service the timeline woudn't make sense this would mean Project D took over 20yrs to complete and Takumi at nearly 40 years of age is still delivering tofu

If I remember correctly, Bunta at the beginning was not really aware of the R32 as a fast car, which was mentioned as the latest and the greatest. GT86 is even newer than the R35.
If the time line catches up to 2013, Bunta would have seen the R32 that came out 25 years ago!

Either way, I was expecting this a long time ago. I was thinking he'd be handed the keys to one.

So i finished the Final stage.

It was awesome, and it almost got me crying cause the entire series was awesome and it had to end.

So what i dont' get was, what is Takumi going to do now? Deliver tofu for the rest of his life?

I thought him choosing to go with Project D was suppose to give him a career in racing or something?

Yeah...I have been watching Initial D for like over 12 years now, just doesn't feel right without it in my life. Definitely influenced a bunch of ppl to be into cars!

They said him and Keisuke got offers to be pro, looks like Keisuke went towards circuit. They showed Takumi at a drifting event soooo maybe? haha Formula Drift~ or whatever they have in Japan.
