Front license plate: Why you don't want the dealer to drill your bumper

So, I didn't get the opportunity to spare my bumper from such douchery.
I thought I'd share what you can expect if it happens.
I figured no biggy, I'll just get some plugs and I remember that bumperplugs.com is a good solution and from previous group buys with them.
Well, not so fast!

Not only are there two holes, but 6!
The bottom ones are routed out to accommodate bolt retainers..

Wow. How you could ruin the front of this car with a plate is beyond me to start with, but I would hope that dealerships would give people the option of doing this for them.

I had two specific requests, no bumper drilling, no trunk dealer sticker.

I feel bad for you man...

If you already told the dealer and they promised not to, complain, and ask for a new bumper!

My opening sentence pretty much indicates I didn't get that option.
This post wouldn't exist otherwise. I simply wouldn't have left with the car if it was on my priorities list. Had I known what was waiting underneath, I might have had that at the top of my list, and would have waited.
I wanted this car under my ass NOW! LOL

They weren't suppose to drill into the painted portion of the bumper. They basically destroyed the front of your car. Kick and scream until they replace your bumper, what they did is unacceptable.

No, the bracket is custom molded for the FR-S. There is no other way for this method.
Where did you get your information?

Well, the dealer is having a car show. I'm inclined to take it off during the show and call over all the managers, staff, and sales to see the beautiful handiwork.
I'm going to make things a little uncomfortable for them. That's for sure...
