She's about 4 years younger than I am and the generational gap is apparent. She even tried her hand at drilling but kept throwing in screws sideways and once dropped the screw and punched a hole in the wall with my drill. She said this isn't for me and went to a coloring and wine l tasting? XD

I was up till 2 am finishing it up and cleaning the floor in the Mean time.

I also pay cash for rent.

As Bill Cosby said "once you let a girl in your bedroom, she's awfully hard to remove."

Besides after last night's performance. I felt more like a handyman and less like a roomate.

And not in the fun way

Oh, I never wore any ear protection, except when I was standing beside the M-60 tanks firing their main guns. I damn near learned that the hard way when I jumped when the 50 cal MG fired off and the tank commander suggested I take the empty .45 shell casing out of my ears and replace them with the ear plugs the Army issued me before he fired the main gun.

What's that ringing in my ears? - SPEAK UP if you wish to talk to me! -

I actually got a story about hearing protection

So down in the engine rooms its standard fare to have those dumb orange and green foamies. So there's a box of them at every entrance and yada yada

anyways there are times legitimately you forget to take em out, especially on long days you get used to hearing things being muffled and you know talking to folks hand on shoulders speaking into ears

anyways one day I was running around doing somethin' I forget but I didnt take em out on my way out of the plant box. And while I was out I was wondering why I couldnt hear anyone speak. Well fast forward a few minutes and I headed back into the plant and went to grab a new set of foamies and as I tried to jamb one in my ear it met the first set I had in!

I had to take a moment to fully respect what happened. and made a mental note to check ears when I left again.

funny enough, we didnt have "double hearing protection" requirements but we had supplied ear muffs, you are supposed to use in conjunction with the foamies.

I think the skittles on the deck use em.

I have to wear them in the plant every day. The number of times I forgot they were in are countless. You get strange looks at restaurants or such when you have two bright orange things stuck in your ears.
