Whoa. The parallels are indeed uncanny. I think however, the FT-86 will be quite a bit more refined than that and I guess you trade off mass production and added weight for a few thousand quid.

That's pretty cool.

Thats old model. And a race car. Have a look at the G55!
It only looks similar, just like ferrari 599.

I like that very much.

Does "6 piece composite gel coat bodywork" = "plastic"?

But $48k USD means it's in a different class from the FT-86 or even the forthcoming, lightened up MX-5.

Very cool. I don't see the FT coming in under 1800 lbs, especially given the safety reqs these days.

Yeah but I don't see the FT coming in at $48k no matter how cool it will be.

Yeah, I look at that as more of a cheaper Lotus than a more expensive FT.

Not to be bitchy about it, but I thought it looked a little under-suspended. A little soft. Easily fixed, of course.

For sure. If I had the chance I would take one for a test drive.

I was thinking the same thing. It's soft and under-damped. It looks a lot like how a Miata with the factory Bilstein shocks would going over similar undulations--which is to say planted but floaty (if that makes any sense at all).

At one point the driver tried to put is sideways and couldn't...@2:34 it sort of sounds like a clutch-kick attempt.
