Will Forza 4 get the FR-S and/or BRZ? - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

I don't think that there is a specific thread on this topic but I know it is one that many of us (Forza players) are thinking about quite heavily.

GT5 got the 86 and if I recall correctly the commercial before they released had the 86 as well as the FR-S in it and they made a lot of hype about the FR-S coming to GT5.

As far as I know, GT5 still doesn't have the FR-S. Only the 86 has come to GT5.

So what's this about? Do you think that Toyota has gone for GT5 on the PS3 because in Japan the PS3 is much more popular the Forza and the Xbox?

However, in the U.S. the XBox appears to be a good bit more popular (sales figures can be used to represent this "popularity".)

Would it make more sense for Scion not to agree to put the FR-S in GT5 but in Forza instead? Does Toyota have some kind of agreement with GT5 to keep the BRZ out? Is Subaru holding out for Forza? Are Scion and Subaru both competing for the rights to put "only" their car in the game? Questions questions questions... This is all just speculation... But it is interesting.

This licensing stuff can get tricky - and I bet it's going to get really messy with the 86/GT86/FR-S/BRZ.. but surely Forza will get one of them. Most likely not the 86, but perhaps the FR-S or BRZ. Which will it be?

I hope one of the FT platform cars comes to Forza. I'd like to see the BRZ, but any of them will be fine since they're essentially all the same.

Considering there were partials of the concept on the Collectors Edition of Forza 3. I'm hoping it's just a simple matter of licensing that can be resolved in time.

They did strike a deal with EA for Porsche... why not FRS/BRZ?

I looked this up and apparently Polyphony managed to get licenses for both Twins.

I don't know how long "soon" is but it's apparently not expired yet since he said that in Feb.

This has been something that was driving me insane for a while, I WANT it in forza, I do remember reading somewhere though that it will be in Horizons and not forza 4. Don't know if that's true or not but at least its something.

I already could not wait for horizons as it is, Forza realism mixed with NFS style street racing....ILL TAKE IT. this is what I have been waiting on the NFS people to make and instead they keep making garbage, there hasn't been a good NFS since underground 2 (maybe most wanted, meh)

I drove GT5 for the first time with my new racing cockpit last night. The GT86 WAS fun but the audio is sooo poor.

I wish a game could combine the best aspects of Gran Turismo and Forza together

Gran Turismo
+Driving dynamics
-horrible layout
-meh graphics
-limited modifications

Forza
-Driving physics leave a lot to be desired
+Layout (although forza 2 was the best)
+Looots of modifications + swaps
+I like that bit with jeremy clarkson talking about cars

Basically I only like gran turismo for actual driving and the only thing I don't like about Forza is driving. I'll still buy every Forza game because I like just building cars.
