(Yet another) quick UEL header question.

I am running a Openflash programmer (stage 1) and now would like to take it a step further.
So I am looking into a UEL and being offered 3 options:

Blox Racing UEL
Hooker UEL
Borla UEL

All comparatively priced. I am not sure which one to prefer. Sound and build quality is important. Some guidance is appreciated.

Out of ONLY those three the borla is the only one with a proven, wide use track record. You can easily find information on its pros and cons and power gains.

Having said that, I would personally go for the hooker. Simply after following the development process thread and having ran some of their products in the past. Pros and cons are harder to find though as they were late to the game and get overshadowed quite a bit by other products.

You should probably look into Gruppe-S as well. That might be better than all your other options

This.

Gruppe-S for me has the best value for your money. The welds are really really well done and I love it.

I would say Borla is the best one of your list, at least in my experience.

Why those 3? And what are your end goals?

Another plus one on the Gruppe-S. I loved mine before going to an EL.

JDL usually does a tax return sale. I highly recommend the JDL product line.

Anyone recommending the Borla UEL header obviously hasn't done any research into it. There are TONS of examples of shitty welds and terrible quality. For UEL the only brands worth spending your hard earned money on are JDL (top choice) and Tomei (also great). They are both extremely proven and well worth the money compared to other brands.

Imho also big reason for borla headers being relatively widespread is because those were among first, if not the first, aftermarket header offering for twins. Now, with much wider aftermarket choices i see little reason to get borla's, as there are imho better alternatives out there, both in top performance/quality niche and in budget one.

I found a great deal on a UEL Open Flash header to complement my Open flash tablet. It will be installed next week. Can't wait.
