I ran a set of the okada coils on my evo with meth. They honestly did not work any better than stock. IIRC they are just modified stock coils anyway.. At least they wee for the 46G3.

Got the CEL and same OBD code on track. Car has never had an aftermarket tune. Took it to the dealer. They said they will replace the coils and put an order. Waiting for them to arrive. Have another track day in a week, will see how it goes.

This code is going to be quite common for the track guys and for the people who drive it hard on the streets. I can see it now. My car has been at the dealer for 2 days now. But as soon as I got this code, the car would pop several times from the engine bay under moderate to WOT accerlation in low - mid RPM range and especially going 70 mph on the highway in 6th.

Andd just found out I had a injector leak causing the 1st cyl to malfunction which is why the PO351 popped up for me.

Do you have a tune?
How many miles on the car?
How many track sessions?
What Fuel?
What Specific Code (which cylinder)?

I'm trying to understand if this is a heat related issue breaking down the coilpacks or bad injector seals causing lean condition (i think this could over heat the coil pack over time as well).

no tune on the car was running 93 octane fuel and it was a p0351.

10k miles on it and before i hit the track it was about 9500

i did maybe 3-4 30min sessions with 30-60mins min between the sessions on day 1 and about the same on day 2 and i made sure to do cool down lap. and i got the light on both days and cleared it but the car ran fine.

i even changed the the oil to 5w-30.

i am going to take it to the dealer ship and see what they say

Just got this CEL again... what scares me is that this is the same CEL I got right before I started having DI leaking and popping under acceleration.

When I got the code, I changed the coil and plug on number 1 cylinder and it fixed it.

Just got the same code today. P0351. Turned on while I was flooring it in 4th on the on-ramp of the highway. I have an ecutek tune. If I flash it back to stock and take it back in to the dealer will they replace it under warranty?

I just got this code today.. didn't hear a pop or anything. Whats everyone's advice? Flash to stock and hit the dealer up for new coils?

I'd try to have the coil/plug replaced, as well as have them check out the DI seals. Good luck on the last part though.

I have friends that are techs there, so it's no problem getting seals checked while they are in there. My issue is making sure it's all under warranty, because having those friends also has made the service manager 'distrusting' of me and my mods
