What is the weight distro in the camero? I figured all that weight would be in the front with the engine??? (And the mullet! Haha, just messing)

I've not looked, but I imagine there's more weight on the rear tires PERIOD just due to it's mass. Though that thing probably has so much torque it doesn't matter.

426hp/3850lbs = 9.04 lbs/1hp
200hp/2760= 13.8lbs/1hp

And on top of that the SS has 2.8 times more torque even though it isn't 2 times heavier.
Going from my brz to a camaro ss, it didn't feel that much faster. Really. Except when passing on the freeway in which case the ss was much faster. I rented an automatic though and that may had something to do with it. I was extremely disappointed with the ss. I tried to drive it like I stole it but between not being able to see anything and the feeling that I was taking up the entire lane, the ss was not fun to drive. The car inspires 0 confidence. I was near drifting my brz around on ramps my first 15 minutes driving it...

I think I know what you guys mean. I'm pretty sure the BRZ/FRS is one of those cars that make a whole bunch of ruckus like you are going really fast but when you look at the mph gauge /or outside you ain't barely doing nothing. The SS on the other hand sounds more like its a victim of being isolated right? I have driven a G35 sedan with this kinda feel and the thing is faster than it feels. I wasn't even redlining the thing and I was just moving with great haste and little to no noise. My RSX sounds like the BRZ/FRS.

Fast?
Going fast, altho everyone has their own reasons for doing so, is not necessarily the quickest way to get from Point A to Point B. I can often get from A to B quicker than a "faster" car. So "going fast" is not my big thing. Acceleration is, but not just fast. This is just my personal opinion and yes I can have my own personal opinion.

I'm not impressed with GM at all, the Camaro hasn't been updated since they whored it out in the first Transformer. The car feel like it's been out forever...where's the mid cycle refresh every other manufacturer does? Too ugly and heavy IMO. I'd rock one for a day for as far as wanting one? no...

It is pretty fast, but fun is not calculated in seconds, just bragging rights

86 hands down.

this is what happens when you post in the FRS forum saying that you traded in your FRS for a BRZ. Everyone is saying good stuff about it:

No one in this forum/ thread is saying that the camaro is slow. We ALL know this - yet we all also went with the decision to choose the BRZ. Some did say it was slower than "expected" but that's different given its claims. We can all argue the argument about: "if I turbo my bigger displacement car----it will be much faster than your pos 4 banger..." Duh! I guess the whole statement of "straight line = fast car/ curvy roads with twists and turns = fast driver." Didn't register when he made his decision. We can all guess which category OP falls into lol

Lastly, is anyone surprised he hasn't come back? If you posted that you got a new car and the rest of the thread was people shitting all over your choice of vehicle, would you bother coming back?
I wouldn't necessarily say "better"......

Jokes on us. He knew what he was getting into by starting the thread. But I'm kinda glad cuzwe all now know which if us are true enthusiasts at heart (aka fast drivers).

There's no doubt that the SS is faster than a BRZ. Hell almost anything is.

That doesn't make it a more fun car to drive though. Just because a Toyota Camry is faster doesn't mean I'd buy it.

Of the current American Muscle cars the Mustang Boss 302 LS is the only one I'd even consider buying over a BRZ, with a ZL1 Camaro a very distant second.

I'd rather drive a slower car that is a blast to drive than a fast car that's vague, isolated and feels like a boat with a stiff suspension.

All I can get from his post is that he drives too fast and people who drive fast cars drive the speed limit?

No idea beyond that.

Actually makes sense to me .... The FRS is more fun to drive than some other fast cars I've had, including some mustangs.
