I would really love a lip/diffuser for the FRS/GT86 like you have the BRZ. It is so so nice.

There's a bracket that's holding the hot side intercooler pipe to the engine. Is that only for the display kit or is that a new addition to your kits?

That's for the display only - on an actual kit install, you'd be mounting the pipe to the bracket inside the engine bay that the air box mounts to.

Has there been a price posted yet for the turbo upgrade? How much is it for the standalone billet turbo for those that already have the basic turbo setup? Is it available currently?

So I'm running currently around 300 PS (= 295 hp) with the base kit+exhaust+oil cooler and I'm shooting currently for 300 whp.

Can the OEM engine internals actually handle this power for a long period of time? This car is my daily driver and I'm doing around 15-20k miles per year so I want this to be a solid build that goes well past 100k miles in the next few years.

Nobody can give any certainties about boosted longevity, as this is a relatively new engine and people have only boosted it the last couple of years or so. The fact is this engine was never designed to be boosted. Having said that, if you keep things sensible I'm sure you could get some good mileage out of it.

That I know - but some of us, have a better insight and knowledge on the design and the materials used in the FA20 engine, so even though we might not have any longterm experience with the engine, some of us can at least give some feedback based on what they've seen on the engine internals.

Not forged.
High compression.
Weak oiling.
Runs hot.
You are asking for opinions unless you want the engine designer to tell you what his safety factor was, I am with @Fizz on this one.

Ok - I am aware that the FA20 used in the Forester XT and 2015 WRX has actually a few modifications to be boosted, but how can you say that it was never designed to be boosted?

Maybe we should move this topic in another thread, so we dont hijack @AVOturboworld īs thread.

AVO Turbocharged BRZ sets record at Okayama Circuit!

AVO's own Ross Wilson set a record for the fastest BRZ at Okayama Circuit with a blistering time of 1.44.71 seconds. Even more impressive was the fact it that it was accomplished on a freezing cold track that had ice and snow on it in the mornings! Tire temperatures would not get over 50 degrees centigrade, well below the ideal temperatures of 70-80 degrees, and the track was also littered with tire debris from the D1 Drift event that happened immediately before the time trial.

Despite all that, Ross set the bar at Okayama with the AVO turbocharged BRZ. It is still on the stock motor and only running at .9 bar of boost (13psi) on the Stage 4 turbokit with the larger intercooler and new AVO airbox. On race gas it is putting out well over 400whp! Needless to say, it was a bit touchy on such a cold track at those power levels, but Ross kept it under control (mostly!) and put down a great time.

The car was running on the new Bridgestone tires, along with the new WORK Wheels, which performed flawlessly. The front wheel and tire setup was comprised of a 18x8.5" wheel with 245/40's, and the rear was a 18x8.9" wheel with 265/35's. Bridgestone Potenza RE011 S tires provided the outstanding traction. The car is getting so fast now that we are looking at a new aerodynamic setup to keep it on the ground!

Here is a view of the peak temperatures after 20 minutes of lapping. This is with the oil cooler partially blocked off due to the cold temperatures.

We partially blocked off the oil cooler to keep temperatures up.

A view of the new WORK wheels.
