Fake CF is tacky as f*. CF is supposed to serve a function which is strength and lightweight. But then our cars already have fake side vents so who cares lol!

The quality of their work is terrible. It all fits like crap. I just helped a friend put shift/ebrake boots on his sti. It looks no-so-best. Go with jpmcoachworks.

As a stand alone piece, it looks good, but it doesn't fit in with rest of the interior. Same goes with the shift knob.

Apples to oranges, JPM's stuff is already on the part and ready to install, redline's is just the cloth and you have to install it on the existing pieces.

If you don't have experience installing such items, of course they're going to look like crap...

I like this look better than the other setup posted in this thread

I disagree. The shiftboots they sell fit funny.

I personally hate the CF look. Personal tastes, I guess, but I just don't understand the appeal.

I don't mind the stock look of the car, but I would really like to replace the plastic pieces with teak. It would be heavier, but I think it would add a bit of throwback class to the interior. The old sports cars had a little more warmth in the interior that many of the modern cars lack.

I hope the BRZ gets the "dry carbon" look in the pics on the following thread. The vast expanse of scratchable silver is a drawback for me.

My Protege5 came with two thin strips of fake CF, and it looks very nice.

Having messed with their stuff before, it's a hassle, but the fabric itself is patterned directly off the OEM stuff. If it doesn't fit right, it's all on the installer (in this case it was me and I gave up and bought one that was already installed on the support pieces for the boot).
