t's not that we don't want to believe the Aussies; we do. But when the story lists the same "sources in Japan" as a lot of the other denials and confirmations about GT86/BRZ/FR-S variants, well, there's a certain sense of the "Boy That Cried Wolf," here. Ignoring all that, then, what does Motoring.com.au claim to know?
It's just Autoblog reporting on the same lame ass Motoring.com.au report from last week.

10 years ago everyone talked about the so called RX-8 turbo, the so called MR-S turbo and the so called 350Z turbo that were all but confirmed but somehow never happened.

I hate these rumour stories. I take the position that every car rumour is untrue until there's evidence through photos of physical test mules or the automaker willingly leaked the info to trusted sources.

Me personally? If any of these are true and it means more people buy this car, then they're a good thing. I enjoy the car as it currently is and even if a turbo version comes out I'd be happy for the people who wanted it, but wouldn't have buyer's remorse or envy. I wouldn't buy a car I feel is flawed or had a aspect to it that made me unhappy.

If any shred of this were true I would be pumped, but that being said it sounds like more rumors to me.
If they were to make a 4 door, I bet it would be based off the excellent new WRX chassis, and would not be surprised if it shared a lot of parts with it. That being said a 20" stretch seems like quite a lot, not really a compact for sure.

Like someone else said, if it was marketed as a Toyota sports sedan (which it would have to be at those prices, would not sell as a Scion for 30-35k) they would seriously have to upgrade the interior, or keep those prices way down. At mid-low 30s you are competing with a lot of entry level luxury that offer pretty reasonable performance. For a 32k Toyota I would have a hard time not also taking a look at a 328i for just a bit more money.

This would seem to be in line with Toyota's plan to make their vehicles more exciting. 86 chassis is a great way to start

The timing of that 2.5L turbo engine is perfect... it will probably be unveiled as the new WRX STI engine that replaces the EJ25. Makes a lot of sense, they refine the chassis/suspension/steering now, then release a new engine in a year or two. Easily shared with a new Toyota model at the same time....

A turbo coupe for 2016 has interesting timing too. That's when the IDx (turbo inline 4) is expected to come out...

Those exterior dimensions perfectly mimic the JZX90! The only other thing it needs is a Inline 6.

Not seeing how this is remotely ban-worthy.

Except, there is no TRD 2015, there's a Scion Release Series 1.0 and there won't be a Turbo 2016 model, you're just continuing to perpetuate a made up rumor from a bad source, its annoying/trolling when other people have corrected you.

Because the same link has been posted 3 times on the front page and has been debunked as false/made up rumors. Normally forums aren't supposed to filled with useless clutter.
