I don't think @Sonolin or @sw20kosh are wrong in what they say about the Innovate SC or SC's in general.

I just agree with David that this is more a thread about the merits and demerits of the AVO kit and isn't really a place for SC vs. Turbo debates which are all over this sub-forum.

Another AVO Stage 1+ kit reporting back in, I have over 3500 miles on the kit and the last 1000 have been since the warranty work to my cam issues which pre-existed the kit. Literally zero issues since then. Throttle response, drivability, mileage, power, and the quickness of the spool remain excellent. I actually didn't think that I would love this particular turbo so much as I do now, you can stay off boost so easily and yet when you get on it and you need the boost, it is right there!

And this is without the EBCS, which should make boost delivery even more awesome.

Redlining the car is such an adrenaline rush with this kit. With the cam issues I definitely babied the car; now I can let loose. Power-wise, it is everything I wanted although I will be getting ebcs soon which should allow me to set low (4 psi) med (5.5) and high (7) boost. I do need to get the car re-dyno'd after having the warranty work and ebcs done on a non-Dynapack dyno so I can actually compare apples-to-apples with some other AVO owners.

The car is still running on 96 octane or above, and I plan on keeping it that way to the greatest extent possible until I go FlexFuel with Visconti. There is a lot of head-room to this kit and the Turbo and IC are sized to go well above 300 whp. If the Aussie guys ( @nix and others) are any indication, E-85 is going to be wonderful with this kit, I'm just going to need a new clutch!

I appreciate your reply @vubaru and can't wait to hopefully test an AVO 86 sometime in the future

I made that post because you stated that it is rediculois people are waiting for a PD kit when the avo is out already. They are two completely diff kits why would Someone not wait for the other one if that is the kit they want?

And no matter what you think I am genuinely happy for you and your avo kit.

I never said it was ridiculous.

I do want to apologize because you are right, you never stated one was better than the other. Also, I misread your statement about you being glad I like my AVO. I read it as sarcasm and it was not. My bad on that one.

I'll update the front page as well.
This is awesome!

I think you did a Gem with the above comment.

In any case, some people like myself would like to see all the choices before making the final decision. Who knows, maybe there will be a gtx series with stainless pipes for people that want that.

I went out in the Fensport Auto demo car yesterday. At 0.4 bar and a quiet exhaust system it was completely stealth. No noise in the cabin or outside. No noticeable 'boxer burble'. Quite odd but equally quite nice.

Autos work great with turbochargers.

Not sure why ya'll keep talking about a torque curve, that's more of a plateau than a curve.

Here's a dyno vid of an AVO Stage 2 kit on an 86 here in Dubai (not mine, sadly):

Screen grab:

AFAIK this is on pump gas here - 93 Octane approx. But NVM the numbers - dat torque curve!

Not going to participate in another shit storm. There is simply not enough info at this stage.

Putting down kits that isn't publicly available or have 1st hand experience is what Gem did best hence that comment. Pretty sure the advice to him was to keep his bias opinions without putting down others, even more so with ill informed info.

I know you like the avo as you are happy with your purchase, pretty sure you know that I understand the reason why due to our previous exchanges. That was just a pretty cheap jab using RUMOUR and nonavailability as the reason.

Like I said, some people just wait to see all options. No need to force the issue with a cheap jab.

I did not put it down... just said the characteristic it offers was already available for some time now

My ONLY point in that comment was "I've seen a notion that a flat early starting torque curve is not available from any other kit but from the Innovate, well that is not true look at it right here in this kit". that was all, nothing more.

My bad, it definitely did not come out properly!

Who knows, PD may have more torque from idle.

No issues with your opinions, not even disagreeing with you. Just that cheap jab/sale pitch/fanboism was rather Gem esque. No big deal.

PM'd :happy0180:

I did based my opinion on speculation and not solid released numbers so on that instance guilty as charged. I'll wait on numbers to be released before making anymore assumptions.
